Sham: Comments attributed to Bartel were incorrect

This is Brad Sham and I want to set the record straight about my conversation with Richard Bartel. What's been reported here re: what I said on the pregame show has been taken way out of context. Bartel was joking about putting on the burgundy. It was ANOTHER player who talked to me about it being a zoo. Understand this: Richard Bartel has worked very hard to find a place in the NFL. He would not be stupid enough to say anything to jeopardize what he's done, and I would not lack the integrity to give up something truthful a player had told me in confidence. Are we clear? Richard has worked extremely hard to find a spot in the league, and he has accomplished things most of us never have nor could. He respects his profession, and obviously I have to do a better job of conveying what's been said to me in a joking manner. I'm sorry if anything I said contributed to anyone's confusion on this subject.

Hey, welcome to the best Cowboys board around... sorry it took a misunderstanding to get you posting in here, but I sure do hope you'll pop in from time to time and share some thoughts with us...

Big fan of yours... big fan...

So that we can avoid more endless "if this is Brad" disclaimers, I can confirm his identity.

I will also state that anyone who harasses or annoys him publicly or privately will have their accounts banned permanently. Everyone would do well to remember that Brad is a guest here and will be treated as such.

Is it OK if I continue annoying Yeager, and Juke, and Brain??

I feel terrible now, like I did something to put you or bartel in a bad spot. I really truly am sorry.

You damned ol' troublemaker... we shall have to chastise you severely about the head and shoulders...

But you caused Brad to post in here, so maybe we'll let it slide, just this once...

When he goes, "It's GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!," it literally takes years off my life. :laugh2:

For me, Chuck Thompson and Bill O'Donnell will always be the voices of the Baltimore Orioles ("ain't the beer cold??"), and Brad Sham will always be the voice of the Cowboys...

You only have to listen to a few minutes of another team's play-by-play man to appreciate how good Mr. Sham really is

Just try listening to Sonny Jurgenson and Sam Huff on Commanders' radio broadcasts... ROTFLMAO...

Welcome Mr. Sham, you are the best play by play radio guy there is. I will always consider you "the voice of the Cowboys", even after you retire.

Please post more often!!!!

You have been my eyes on game day and I'm locked in at work, have been fully thankful for your work then, and now, when an often underused trait of ethics was used by yourself. You portray Cowboy life, perspective, and respect...and we all say a grateful thanks for your toils.

Your interviews, post game, and on Mondays have kept a ray of light upon me during those gloomy and unsuccesful times. Again, thanks...

Hey Brad...I just saw Harper's slant in the 92 NFC Championship Game and heard your call.

What an awesome moment.
