This is Brad Sham and I want to set the record straight about my conversation with Richard Bartel. What's been reported here re: what I said on the pregame show has been taken way out of context. Bartel was joking about putting on the burgundy. It was ANOTHER player who talked to me about it being a zoo. Understand this: Richard Bartel has worked very hard to find a place in the NFL. He would not be stupid enough to say anything to jeopardize what he's done, and I would not lack the integrity to give up something truthful a player had told me in confidence. Are we clear? Richard has worked extremely hard to find a spot in the league, and he has accomplished things most of us never have nor could. He respects his profession, and obviously I have to do a better job of conveying what's been said to me in a joking manner. I'm sorry if anything I said contributed to anyone's confusion on this subject.
