Well, I was referring to a Head Coach but even if there were that coach, 1. would he be able to work with JJ and 2. Why he wouldn't go somewhere else where he wouldn't have to deal with JJ in having complete control?

Is there a young B.P.? Perhaps Dungy will be ready after a year off? When is J. Fishers contract up?

Is there anyone who is aware of any of the assistant coaches that could be available in '09?

I'm somewhat torn between bringing in a popular coach who has had some experience at being a head coach as opposed to hiring a up and coming assistant.

Fox, Whisenhunt and Harbaugh are all 1st time Head Coaches who used to be assistants and still managed to lead their teams deep into the playoffs.

Wade may not be the best fit for this team right now but OMG! Does Jerry have anyone else in mind to lead this team with all the talent that they have to be the next Cowboys Super Bowl champions?

I really don't believe it matters who Jerry brings in if he doesn't change his underlying philosophy.

Amoung other things, he needs to empower his coaches, not undermine them & he needs to quit sugar coating or denying altogether the teams weaknesses. Lastly, he must demand excellance from every coach and every player instead of blowing smoke up everyones ***es by making ridiculous statements like this is the best coaching staff he's ever assembled or this team is as talented as the teams of the 90's (if he means the late 90's , he may be on to something).

Apologies if this is a silly question. I've been sick in bed all day with the flu and haven't been up on my daily Cowboys news.

My boyfriend just came home and told me that all day on the Fan they were saying that

a) Wade Phillips is getting a raise and moving to OC and
b) Shanahan will become the new HC

I take it this is just speculation, but has anyone else heard anything similar, or is my bf pulling my leg?

Bring in Mike Martz as DC and we're all set!

Your better than a DCC , devilishly good looking and you know football. With that much going for you a guy would easily overlook a third eye or six fingers , stuff that don't belong. With Wade as "DC" I would love to see that. However, at this time it's a pipe dream.

Something tells me that if Garrett is hired elsewhere Jerry's hand might be forced to make a move this year. ray:
