Agree.......

He's gonna slide out of the 1st.....just watch.

Not sure about that. I don't think evaluators care as much as it as we think, especially since I am sure it is the unspoken truth that a lot of players smoke weed and the rule is to just not get caught.

However, if you combine it with the turf toe issue, he could slide.

I don't want either guy on this team. I can look the other way if the player is so special that it warrants taking a chance...like Dez Bryant was or Randy Moss. Some players are once in a generation type of prospects that slide due to off field issues. If either of these guys were as talented as Bryant or Moss then the risk is worth it. i don't see either as being so special.

After reading more on Gregory, his profile reads like a player Dallas would take a chance on. Great kid, articulate, supremely talented, loved in the locker room, but he has some issues with anxiety and marijuana. This is the type of kid that the Joneses have Calvin Hill there for. Not saying I agree with it, but that is what I envision when I read up on Gregory.

Can a DE succeed in the 4-3 being so light?
I have not really studied him so I don't know. Is he that much of a sure thing talent? We have been awesome the last few years hitting on our early draft picks.

That's my concern. He's 240 lbs and I wonder if Gregory can handle being a full time DE. I do not want to waste our first round pick on a situation player who only sees the field on passing situations because he can't hold up against the run in the NFL. As much talent as Gregory may have, I'd rather take a CB, for example, who will be on the field the entire time.

My opinion is awesome (to me and me only), but I think this is a pretty good read that sums up NFL level opinions of Gregory better than I ever could. He can get to the QB, but he is a big risk. I think the kid is the definition of boom or bust personally. If they are looking for that new SAM pass-rusher position then this guy would probably be a monster there.

I'd have to consider Gregory. Ray, not so much. I'd probably take Eli Harold.

He is not 240 he did a workout this month for a team weighing less than 230lbs.

Honestly, I'm not sure why he was slated top 10 to begin with. He has good quickness and size, but is just a terrible pass rusher (he doesn't seem to be a natural at it -- wasted movements, stalled easily in 1-on-1 blocks and has no moves other than the outside speed rush) and is even worse against the run.

Is this the same pass rusher who had 20.5 TFL and 13.5 sacks in the SEC for 2014? What exactly do you consider a good pass rusher?

After reading this article, I'm thinking Gregory has more issues than I'm willing to buy in the first round.

Stephone Anthony gets a mention as best 4-3 MLB by Scouts. One of of my favorite players in the draft.

Forget the drug charge for a minute..

What about this guys toe?

Is he going to be one of those guys who can never practice?

A Turf toe is a serious injury imo.

IF the toe checks out and he falls to 27 pull the bleeping trigger on Ray.

Gregory.. Screw that guy. He has a habit he refuses to give up for his team.

I guess without the weed induced munchies he has been losing weight.

I'm not sure about him...he failed 2 drug test at college and then knowing he was being tested at the combine he just couldn't give up the smoke...then with him knowing teams are concerned over his low weight he works out for teams and is now in the 220's. He may be a nice kid but he seems to be unable to get it all together right now. He will be tested non stop and 1 more positive test and he gets suspended. Maybe for a 3rd round pick. Maybe..

Not me. I just can't excuse knowing you have a drug test coming for the biggest job audition of your life and failing it.

Either the guy is that addicted and just can't stop or he's that stupid and will remain so in the NFL.

My thoughts exactly.

These players will end up being a big waste of time.

I'd still take a shot on Ray if the toe is ok but Gregory can get lost in Cleveland.

If he has anxiety playing in college, how on earth is he going to deal with the fishbowl that is playing for the Cowboys?

The guy is stupid in that he couldn't stay off the stuff long enough to pass a test for the most important job interview of his life. It's either that, or he's an addict. Do you really want a guy like that on your team?

I actually stated in my post "Not saying I agree with it", so no, I am not all that interested. But, since the restraining order took effect Jerry has not really taken my opinions under consideration and his profile reads like a guy that Dallas would in fact take a chance on if they feel his talent justifies it.
