I'm glad I'm no longer this emotionally invested in the Cowboys. It's not worth it.
It’s a wonder Shango has an ended up in a padded room, strapped in a chair with a therapist. I’ve never been that emotionally invested in the Cowboys.

No you don't. There is nothing wrong with passing the ball in that situation as long as you execute.

I was at the Tampa Bay game last week and you know what every Buccaneer fan around me was complaining about? PLAY CALLING!

According to them our defense didn't shut them down. Their OC was just calling all the wrong plays.

Fans are the same everywhere.
Are you suggesting it is EASIER to execute a 2 yard pass than a 2 yard run?

It's like the NBA today where players have a 3 on 1 fastbreak and the guys filling the lane flare out to the 3 point line instead of filling the lane and taking the easy layup/dunk!

What is happening to sports?!

At times he is entertaining...other times I have my fingers crossed hoping he is taking his blood pressure meds.

With that said...it has been a LONG night for me. Glad I am doing dry January.

Last night I almost cracked...but my dry January continues!

Dak gets the blame but I've seen this non running simple offense enough to see kellen moore is a problem also. I completely agree with shango

There’s a bunch of Shango’s out there posting these videos. There’s one that goes through about a 10 minute yelling rant after every Cowboys loss and at the end of the video he breaks down and starts crying. Lol

Let's say that ball is incomplete. Then we've stopped the clock to give the 49ers the time needed to possibly score before half. This is poor situational football regardless of the INT. I don't care if Zeke is a corpse, you run the ball there 10 out of 10 times.
This is basic stuff.
Ball still in hand, looking at defenders...
You DO NOT FORCE the issue "because of the play call"

The play called has nothing to do at all with the "decision made by the QB in real time."

Live to play another down.
Dak consistently makes these type decisions and many here miss the different options available in real time. Whether they have a personal agenda in order to excuse the QB of this fatal flaw, I don't know. Case by case basis I guess.

It's the one thing Dak is consistent at.
Poor decision making in real time.

Blame dak all you want it's still a stupid playcall. Putting a bad qb in a spot like that is stupid football. You know what good coaches do limit stupid mistakes but not putting bad players in spots where they will hurt you.

I made a thread about it. It isn’t being talked about enough. Simply the worst play all of the entire season.

it’s such a high risk low reward play it’s laughable. You play the clock there make sure SF can’t get the ball back. You get a first they prob aren’t using their timeouts anyway.

Anything…. A jet sweep to ceede. A dak designed run. Even if you get stuffed on back to back runs your maybe up 9-6…. And at worst it’s still 6-6.

Just awful. Dak threw it yeah but to not even have a rb in the backfield?

These dudes are idiots. In a defensive oriented/field position game, you have to keep the clock moving in that scenario via the ground game. Football 101
This is going to be a painful off-season, ended the same way it did last year. Stupid play.
I can tell the offseason is going to be weird around here bc any criticism of a coach is somehow seen as absolving Dak now. This was poor situational football. Kellen overreacted to Pollard's injury and went pass happy in a tight defensive game. The oaf of a head coach was too busy looking at the big screen to do anything about it.

The expectation was tha Turpin (extremely overrated) would catch the ball, elude players for 50 yards and score. And the tears would stop for the Jones family in the executive suite and they celebrate. And Jerald is the hero.

It does not matter what play was called.
Kellen did not tell Dak beforehand, "Dak, if the first read is double covered make sure you don't force it."
At what point in this 7 year quarterback's career does quarterback decision making become a priority?

And nope, I'm not even a Moore fanboy.
If you run the tape back and you're still stuck on the empty set and not the real time decision by Dak to force the throw as the problem, then I will respectfully disagree with your opinion.

You. Do. Not. Make. That. Throw.
PERIOD.
Regardless of play call.

Real Time QB decision making.
It's pretty important to team success.
Since they made that throw, it could have been completed if CeeDee had stayed in place in the soft spot he found. He would have been the only one able to touch the ball had he stayed put and used his body to shield between the incoming football and middle LB Fred Warner. Instead, CeeDee started running to his right, thus right into incoming CB coverage, hence the ball got tipped and fell right into Warner.

I'm not blaming CeeDee. Dak also was responsible, but that pass play could have worked if CeeDee had stayed put in the hole he initially ran 5 yards into, turned around and stopped at before he decided to run towards the flats.

Geez some of you guys will defend Dak at all costs.
