Let's say that ball is incomplete. Then we've stopped the clock to give the 49ers the time needed to possibly score before half. This is poor situational football regardless of the INT. I don't care if Zeke is a corpse, you run the ball there 10 out of 10 times.
Then you still have 2 plays to run the ball, one of which runs the clock.

It's a different situation when you are in the RedZone with 1:25 to go in the half on 2nd and short vs when you are on your opponent's 28yd line with 1:15 to go. A turnover here puts you opponent in immediate scoring position or in a short path to it. It makes more sense to run in that situation and try and drain some clock. But I do see what you are saying, I just moreso agree with passing in this situation.

However, to the point of the play itself. The defense lined up in zone coverage, Dak really struggles with zone coverage. He hikes the ball, they are playing zone, the WR you are looking at is clearly covered and the route is compromised, and he forces it to him. I think he felt the pressure and forced it. He should have taken a sack or had been looking to run it himself as this was the most viable option, considering the play design was absolutely horrible. Like, Zeke on a wheel route? The nerve. Bad decision and dreadful pocket awareness along with bad play design from the OC.
It was a terrible decision by Dak but was also a mistake by Lamb, he needed to recognize the defense and continue his route, if he had he would have been wide open.

To me, this is something that has been overlooked about KM. I think he has a good scheme, however, his lack of experience shows on the field because the offense has not been on the same page when it comes to reading coverages and making adjustments, or running good routes. Gallup's route on the first interception was lazy and quite frankly a total joke. He turns around and fades toward the sideline instead of making a quick cut and coming back toward the QB to force the DB to go through him to get to it.
