Tom Brady was a 6th round draft pick. Lets get past that issue. Glover was drafted where?

Shanle was SOLID for two months as Dat went down early. His issues all started with his high ankle sprain. He missed some gametime and tried to play through it.

Kids a baller, plays with blood and gauze stuck up his nose. Would play with bones sticking out. He's a Parcells LB. Quality LB for nickle and depth and can start if called on!

Shanle is back!

:star:

Agree with that.

Some Shanle Facts:

Dat started first 4 games and we were 2-2. Shanle stepped in and we went on 5-1 tear. Stuffing run and played at a very high defensive level.

Went down with ankle and DNP Denver loss. Fowler started majority of games last month of season. The Shanle injury was further compounded with losing Burnett and Als to IR. That all said was part of defensive slowdown.

That all said Dallas was 5-1 with Shanle starting before ankle. 4-6 before and after that injury. Get healthy Shanle and lets draft a possee of LB's to push him and Fuji!

I stayed out of this thread to prove a point - Yes that Ty Law would get brought into it for no reason !!!!!!!!! Stay focused gang!

The book is still out on Shanle, hope he gets better and is over his injuries.

The big thing to me is that he was not given a signing bonus. So he either makes the team on his play, or he doesn't. Depending on who will bring in on the off season.

Now, if they had given him a 1million dollar signing bonus, I would say the coach's and FO guys have a vested interest in the guy.

He is what he is. Good luck and lets just get better at the LB position.

Shanle was medicore for 2 months, and tailed off quickly. Hes a reasonable enough backup, but probably not someone we should want getting a good number of snaps. It could well be Parcells told him to get back on the field cause he doesn't care enough about the kid going forward to worry about small injuries with him.

Shanle is a spare part. Every team needs them, but they usually are what they are.

Actually Shanle played at a high level for 2 months and we were actually 5-1 when he was starting. But agreed - after his ankle injury and Fowler started starting - our defensive play slid off. The offensive tackle meltdowns also played into our ills late in season as well!

To Blame Shanle is at best humorous. Parcells collects LB's and he keeps bringing him back. Kid is an animal. Get healthy and bring on LB's. Lets collect more!

The kid is a spare. Hes not the reason we failed last year. The defensive line played at a high level for two months, while Shanle happened to be getting snaps.

To elevate Shanle to the reason our defense had some issues later in the year is also ludacrious, which is what your doing in this particular post. The team got more used to playing the 3-4 in a game time situation and improved. It tailed off toward the end of the year due to our decent number of rookies and a questionable rotation on the DLine.

I didn't blame Shanle for anything, I just said hes basically an end of the roster type of player on a good defense, which is what I think we're quickly approaching. Excuse me for wanting to see someone with some appreciable skills at the spot.

:laugh2: ok dude, whatever, Shanle wasn't the centerpiece of our D, never was, never will be, our Ds rise and fall was not made solely by Shanle

Or maybe he was part of the stellar play when he stepped in and was healthy. Because maybe its a coincidence with him not healthy or in there - our D play did drop off.

Don't sell Shanle short - wait no more LB short jokes anymore. Our LB crew is LARGE!

or maybe it had to do with Glover and Ellis not playing? Shanle is a nice backup but not starter material as seen by Fowler starting over him at the end, and Shanle not getting a new contract from The Cowboys. Maybe you should stick to analysing the patriots because when it comes to the Cowboys you show your lack of knowledge.

Dude that must be some good stuff youre smoking.

I guess you werent paying attention but Fowler beat Shanle out because Shanle was getting smoked at the point of attack on running plays.

It was when Dat and your favorite person, Al Singleton, went out and Shanle started getting the majority of the snaps that the run defense went into the toilet.

Shanle is what he is, a nickle backer that plays well on special teams. He is the type of plyer that good teams have on the bench like he was starting the season. To even think that you want him starting in the middle in a 3-4 is laughable.

Dude belongs in coverage or running down field not trying to shed blocks. Your agenda is one thing with your cutsie hyping of Chang but this is just plain ********.
