I'd expect to see Shaun Rogers lining up against Proctor all game
long and cause some serious problems for the offense. With Romo
being a shorter QB pressure up the middle without bringing a blitz
could stall this Cowboy offense. Something to keep an eye out for.
I don't expect Rogers to line up against our big guys.

I don't think if Kosier was in there it would make a difference. I've said
all off-season that Kosier is a weak point on this stellar line. His injury maybe
a blessing if Hollande can play and get up to speed quick enough.

Dallas should have made a trade for hollande before TC.

WAIT A SECOND HERE!

Are you trying to tell me their is a real good player on the opposing team?
Someone who gets paid to play well and make the type of plays that will hinder our efforts.

I refuse to except this!

Next thing you'll be telling me they have a few more players like this on both sides of the ball.

OMG Hope this is the last week we have to deal with this competition thing. It's way to stressful for me.

Last season week 1 against the vaunted Raiders OL, Shaun Rogers had 1 tackle.

My guess is Rogers gets in shape about week 5.

I heard all starter will start including Anderson, Edwards and Lewis.

Maybe. Him being injured right now will have at least some type of impact on him. Of course if you truly love the competition you prefer him healthy. I prefer everyone healthy. That includes our guys.

I am worried about a ninja assassin hired by Romeo Crennell and Phil Savage taking out Demarcus Ware the night before the game as well as that witch doctor from the Cars.com commercial shrinking Bigg's head before gametime.

With that logic, New England and Philly were just lucky against us last year because those were close losses. A win is a win, it doesn't matter if you're lucky or not unless the offcials determine the outcome. If your "luck" comes as a result of execution, then you earned the victory.

As far as Cleveland, road games are tough, but Dallas was 7-1 on the road last year, only losing to Washington in a game they (unfortunately) didn't show up for. The Cowboys are better than Cleveland at just about every position, so all this whining is unwarranted. I get butterflies with each upcoming game too, but some posters on here are just unreal.

New England beat us by 21 in the end.

Not sure I'd call that close.

I am more concerned about dealing with RB Jaamal Lewis.

Amen to that. Fastest way to lose is to let him run wild... Which he can do.

Shaun Rogers made a huge impact in our game against Detroit last season.

To the tune of an entire tackle.

You read that right folks. Shaun Rogers was disrupting our offense, making plays up and down the field, and registering 1 whole tackle. I'm certainly terrified of what this phenom will do now that he's "revitalized" in Cleveland and might get matched up on Procter.

What a fat load. Seriously. Might as well get worked up over how we'll possibly cover Mike Williams if someone signs him.

You have a point. That being Rogers hasn't always been in good enough shape to play. The point some of us are trying to make is he can be a very disruptive player when he's got enough stamina to play. Which hasn't been a lot of his career and THE reason he's in Cleveland instead of Det.

Actually I read a few weeks ago that Rogers was working hard and keeping his weight under control. So don't bet that he wouldn't present a problem simply cause last year he didn't control his weight and his conditioning suffered.

OTOH, I still believe the Cowboys can beat the Browns in Cleveland. I just hope Garrett has studied all the game film re the Browns from last year and preseason. The Browns will have some surprises for us but, from the little we showed during preseason, we should have a heck of a lot more surprises for them.

Agree completely. Depends on which Rogers shows up. Even then we'll have a way to negate him. I don't think he will last an entire game but I was wrong once so you never know. :)

I certainly hope we attack the perimeter running the football early and then work the interior late once they get worn out.

They are weak on the edges and unless their line can keep our extra linemen and Anderson from the second level, they are in huge trouble. They were a bad team against the run last year and it was not just because their line was not good. To make matters better for us, Corey Williams was supposed to be a big upgrade at strongside end and I read he is struggling controlling gaps ahead of McGinest, who is no spring chicken. If we get people on Andra Davis and D'Qwell Jackson, we should have a field day as McGinest is a touch slow and Wimbley overpursues way too much.

I hope there is a steady diet of stretch plays with Felix Jones early. Then Rogers will eventually tap out then they should be ripe for Barber in the second half. That was our formula last year and it worked like a charm until we changed it up against the Giants. As long as our line is in shape, I believe it is the way to go.

Good stuff. Thanks. I think we'll throw stuff out there and go with what is working. But I suspect we can get around the corners on them some. I think it's going to be a tougher game than a lot of people here are predicting though.

Rogers will cause problems... in the first half.

He'll disappear the second half, like he always does.

Rogers sure didn't do anything in the lions game last year. :laugh2:

The Browns are frauds and will be exposed this year. They will be playing the NFC East and AFC South teams plus their division. They had an easy schedule last year and will be right back down to earth this year.

You may be right. That's his history. I hate throwing a new guy at him. I hope we don't have to drag Holland onto the field.
