Shocked, awed and a bit worried

We are going to have to score a lot. I dont think the Packers have the talent to stop our offense, and we have a QB that knows how to take care of the ball and play efficient football. Cowboys are going to have to bring the heat to Rodgers.
The Cowboys defense must keep Rodgers in the pocket. He is much less effective when he can't scramble around. The Dallas Defense should be able to contain him in that manner...don't have to sack him, thankfully, just keep him contained. The Cowboys are the better overall team and the mighty Packers are not going to be able to control the ToP and our OL.

That's one key probably the major key on defense. If they have to I'd use a spy but I wouldn't start that way. Pressure is the other 1/3 key along with good pass defense. They are just going to have to cover these guys when he gets out of the pocket. They won't contain him all day but they can do a better job than NY did.

I don't envision a blowout either way, but instead a close game that goes down to the wire. In order to win we will either have to score when we get the ball last, or somehow stop Rodgers from doing the same. If we have some semblance of a pass rush late in the 2nd half, that might be enough to help us get over the hump. Imo this is a critical game for the Cowboys organization (and its fan base) - it's time to end 20+ years of playoff frustration and move on to the NFC championship game...

Both teams are matchup problems for us. Right now, the way Rodgers is playing, the Pack is the more difficult. Alt will not be as bad a matchup as the Pack.

Agreed. The defense needs to be ready for a dogfight. I like the Cowboys in this matchup. I really can not see the Packers stopping Elliott. The Cowboys OL should control the ToP and that will put the pressure on Rodgers. Rodgers is half a headcase and becomes unglued easily...especially if things go bad early.

No, they are a good team. We are a good team. We just cant beat ourself.
The weather had a great deal to do with it.

Nobody wants to go to Lambeau in January.

I think things will be different at ATT with 100,000 fans screaming for Rogers head will be different.

GB is pretty one dimensional offensively.

Their defense can be run on and their DBs are still vunerable.

It will be our greatest game.

We'll be indoors for this one. Those frigid conditions aided GB's cause when many of the Giant's receivers couldn't function effectively in GB's low temps. Still, Aaron Rodgers will likely be his ultra-productive self, making outscoring them a yeoman's task but it's doable, nevertheless.

Our running game will be challenged to produce low yardage requirements on 2nd and third downs. Maintaining a steadily productive ground game should increase our chances of keeping Rodgers off the field and allow our offense to control the time of possession. That's essential.

I'm also expecting our receivers to be more productive than what those of the Giants were in that frigid environment. I'm sure we will be seriously challenged but so will they. Win or lose, we certainly have a team to be proud of and one that promises to improve in the future.

Our strenght is our offense, so I would think playing GB would be better for us.

As for GB beating the Giants, if the Giants get up 14-0, they might of won that game, yes defense win championships, but you do need help from the offense, and NY controled most of that first half, but just could not score.

As for us, we have a better D, better O-line, better running game, capable recievers and 2 pretty good QB's. So we match up well against GB, should be a good game, one we should win...lets not forget, this is not the same Cowboy team GB faced earlier in the season, we now have a healthy Dez and Scandric and a defensive line that is playing so much better, plus a healthy secondary now with depth, and DMF adds another weapon and over the last couple games Williams and Dunbar have become more consistent, they've worked Brice Butler into some plays, and maybe depth on the O-line with Collins coming back.

I would think for GB to beat us Rogers will have to play an unbelievable game...

And at this time of year, having that extra week should be tremendously useful, however, I would be disappointed if they did not have Zeke carry the ball upwards 25-30 carries, I am assuming thats why he was essentially given 1 1/4 game off plus the bye, so he should be fresh...and used to a few weeks between games...

So let's hope Zeke carries this team similar as to how he carried OSU to a national championship...

We did not win TOP in our win against the Packers earlier this season, we won the turnover battle and racked up the points.

We just need to let Zeke run wild for four quarters and let Dak use those legs along with his arm.

Green Bay is the hottest team in the NFL.
THE WAY THEY MANHANDLED A TEAM THAT TWICE BEAT US IS WORRISOME.
Zeke is going to have to run all day for us to beat GB.
Any dissenting, naive opinions?

There's a reason why everyone saw Elliott sitting on the sidelines in Philadelphia. Prepared thyself for awesomesome.

Yes, they are going to get a big dose of Zeke, four quarters of it with no break. I hope we get him in space again as a receiver, he is explosive in space.

If things proceed the way I believe they will, it will not surprise me to see Emmitt Smith giggling like a kid every time the network cameras pan his direction. It's deja vu time.

Our Cowboys are going to come out jacked up, let the media and cry babies whine, this is not the same old Cowboys, they will fight to the end.

Zeke is going to go off!

NYG shot themselves in the foot most of the game with dropped passes and the hail mary.

Green Bay was impressive in the second half but this is the same team we drubbed early on.
