LOL. Are you equating helmets with yet another rule to increase offensive scoring? Horse collar should only be illegal if there was actual statistics showing that players were being inordinately injured by this type of tackle, instead of a rash of injuries caused by ONE player after ONE season. Football has evolved since Walt Camp effectively grew this game from Rugby in the late 1880's. And the horse tackle has been part of the game from the very beginning, this tackle not being more injury inducing than any other tackle, most of which are collision inducing. Not every new rule has improved this game.
