Sunday night game on the road in New York and then turn around and play Thursday afternoon. Meanwhile the Eagles get a noon game.

Thanks Goodell. All about player safety, though huh?

Every year the Cowboys get criticized by other teams for having an advantage for the Turkey game. Specifically for playing at home, forcing the other team to travel on a short week, etc. This is the NFL's way to mitigate that criticism.

It will be a true test of our QB's health and pain tolerance. Both of these teams will be aiming for that back...guaranteed.

Do you actually think 6-7 hours is going to really make a difference?

Im sure the Bears are complaining that they have to play us on a Thursday when we get an entire week and they get 4 days.

The Bears complaining would indicate they care. If you have watched some of their performances this season it is pretty evident that they don't care.

Well Bears fans. I don't think the actual players who play these games whine as much as the fans on this board.

For what it's worth, the following thursday we play at Chicago and get the extra rest before playing Philly. Not to mention Philly will be coming off a game against Seattle, so I am ok with the turn around.

It's about travel. If our game was at noon, we could leave NY and be back in Dallas by evening to res. Now, we won't leave NY until well after midnight. We essentially lose a night of good rest.

Ask any pro athlete, those things are crucial.

They didn't think rest was all that important in London.;)

Then the Cowboys play at Chicago the Thursday after; but then get the 10 day break before traveling to Philly. To me, it all evens out.

I thought Miami did the same thing when they played us in 2003, had a night game against the Commanders then came and played us on US Thanksgiving
