Shortest Turnaround for a Game in NFL History

Then the Cowboys play at Chicago the Thursday after; but then get the 10 day break before traveling to Philly. To me, it all evens out.

It does set up pretty decent overall.
Even though a lot of games on the road, it's not all bad. I posted this several times since TC.
in London, but wasn't really like a road game, then a bye week, then the 2 games with really only 2 days to prepare. But I'm sure they got in some preliminary work during the bye week, on the Eagles game plan.
Then a week between games. So we have 3 games in 12 days, but we had 3 in 11 several times I think. Then we get the 10 days. at Bears, at Eagles with 10 days between.
Then a home game, then at Washington. So broken up fairly well.

This has happened twice this season already.

Denver played on a Sunday night against San Francisco, and then played Thursday night against the Chargers - both games at home.

New Orleans played on Sunday night against Green Bay at home, and then played Thursday night on the road against Carolina.

Yes, the NFL doesn't care about player safety - see the desired 18 game schedule. However, they don't care about it for everyone, not just the Cowboys.

Sunday night game on the road in New York and then turn around and play Thursday afternoon. Meanwhile the Eagles get a noon game.

Thanks Goodell. All about player safety, though huh?

It may be a short turnaround but after the Thanksgiving game the Cowboys get 10 days off. Not sure many if any teams have come off a bye week and got the following Sunday off. It's a short turnaround between Sunday night and Thursday afternoon but the Cowboys still should be a well rested team that's ready for the home stretch.

If Martin views are any indication of what other players think about this we should be in good shape, Martin said if it has nothing to do with NY Giants we don't care. :)

Every year the Cowboys get criticized by other teams for having an advantage for the Turkey game. Specifically for playing at home, forcing the other team to travel on a short week, etc. This is the NFL's way to mitigate that criticism.

EXACTLY!! But that's okay because they get 10 days off between the Bears game and the second Eagles game which is a Sunday night game.;)

I want to say the Dolphins played on a Sunday Night in 2003 and then played the Cowboys on Thanksgiving. Didn't seem to affect them at all, they beat Dallas by 19 I think.

Not to even mention the fact that we don't even get the normal 10 days rest after a Thursday game. They have us playing another Thursday night game against the Bears the next week. It's all b.s. how they scheduled it.

With Tony's health, this is not a favorable stretch at all.

Did they turn around and play a Thursday game the very next week after Thanksgiving? It's ridiculous.
