Video: Should Dak Prescott be concerned with Joe Milton joining the Cowboys?

You're kidding?

This is the first I've heard of any health issues you are having. Sincerely sorry to hear and hope for nothing but the best for you.

BUT

It's a punk move to talk the disrespectful crap you regularly do then hide behind your health issues. I guarantee you are far from the only one who has serious health battles to fight. Guaranteed, if you know what I'm saying.

The difference is, the majority don't pull that out as a shield to excuse our behavior.

You don't get to hate and disrespect people then turn around and claim you love and respect everyone "honestly" just because you have a serious personal battle to fight.

Good luck. Medical care has advanced so much in my lifetime. We can survive and thrive after things that our parents generation couldn't have overcome.
Fixed it for you

Sure why do otherwise. If Dak sucks out the gate it will be interesting to see if Shotty has the stones to bench him
No way I see him playing poor enough to get benched, especially with what we currently have behind him. Any fan who thinks a $60M a year QB will get benched for a second year QB who was a 6th round pick is completely lost. Schotty would never make that call. These discussions are EXACTLY like the ones about Trey Lance when we traded for him.

Milton was traded for to compete for the backup job but it only figures a lot of fans here don’t get that. Everyone was claiming Dak should be concerned about Trey Lance. lol

Patrik "No brains" Walker actually tried to insinuate that there would be a legit fight for the #2 QB spot with Milton vs Grier. Grier was literally bouncing around on practice squads last year, but sure, he'll beat out Milton.

Currently Milton would be the 3rd QB behind Grier. Some in the Dallas media are reporting the Cowboys will add another veteran QB. If that’s the case it’s unlikely Milton ends up the backup in 2025. The Cowboys will want a more experienced backup.

When Dak gets. injured, again. And Milton comes in and wins. Should Dak stay benched like Romo was.
The information here is much too limited to answer. How much would Milton win? If, for example, the Cowboys were able to run off 11 straight wins with Milton at QB, then there would have to be very real consideration to keeping him as the starter.

Milton is closer to a Practice Squad guy than starter.

Hopefully we’ll still be looking to draft someone on 2nd or 3rd day like Ewers. Someone like that could challenge Prescott in coming years.

And I only mentioned Ewers cause Dallas has already extended him a pre draft invite . No need to bash him. There’s a reason why he potentially drops to middle round pick.

Teddy Bridgewater? Joe Flacco? Josh Johnson? C.J. Beathard?

Could be any of them depending on the price if they do add another veteran. They would probably make the move just before camp when their prices come down.

And it's not like Dak can't get Tony Romo'd if he gets hurt again. Not that I'm saying Milton is even capable of doing what Dak did at one point. But that has happened and can happen again. But it's Dak's job to lose just like it was Tony's.

Dak isn’t about to get Tony Romo’d entering the first year of a contract that’s paying him $60M per. Get real! The Cowboys owe him more than $120M the next two seasons. You’re completely dreaming if you think he’s going to be beat out by a sixth round pick this upcoming season. He would have to suffer a career ending injury for him to be ousted as our starter. No matter how much some of you hope for him to lose his job, that’s not happening for at least the next 2 years.

The Cowboys wouldn’t have a quarterback room, they’d have a quarterback menagerie.

It’s not any QB’s job to lose when they’re the highest paid player in the league and their team owes them a TON of money the next two years. Dak would have to SUCK beyond believe for the Cowboys to even consider benching him. It’s funny how some of you would rather have ANY QB other than him.

The sad truth.

Guess it’s Bridgewater or Beathard, now.
May not be either one. They’ll be cuts coming this summer. Would prefer Bridgewater but he could be off the market by the time the Cowboys make a decision. Don’t think we’ll end up with much which will give Milton a better opportunity to win the backup job.

Milton is QB2. Dallas isn’t competing for anything this season. Depth at any position is not a concern. Fingers are crossed for a very successful draft. Schottenheimer has until 2028 to win two playoff games in a single season. This season is not going to be pleasant.

Milton hasn’t been handed the job. He’ll be competing for it in training camp. In your mind the Cowboys aren’t competing for anything. Schotty won’t be here long if the team isn’t competing for something soon.
