Should Eberflus be fired?

His system is old and dated. So far, he has yet to show that he's willing to adapt his system to the players currently on the roster. With that said, it's too early to fire someone, only 4 games into a season, when implementing a completely new scheme...IMO. What I can't get passed is a defense that's plays undisciplined football. Late hits, unnecessary roughness, personal fouls, and defensive holdings that have lost this team so many games in recent years. 4 games into the season, I'd expect this undisciplined football to improve from game to game but not go in the opposite direction. If it was strictly a scheme issue, fine, but when you add in the undisciplined football mistakes, I'd be requesting my secretary to start drafting those walking papers.

Coaching matters. Eberflus is obviously not getting anything out of these guys. Plus his insistence on playing Sanborn and his recommendation of him is damning to say the least.

Either do it NOW or don't bother. Accept 6-10-1..

Dallas has a talent level issue and not a coaching issue. Firing the DC is like slapping lipstick on a pig; nothing will change until there is better talent on the roster.

Overall? Possibly.

I don't think they go from 32nd to 8th overnight.

But they do need somebody to change these schemes up. Every week it seems, team needs a big play? Somebody is wide open.

I'm not an Eberflus appologist by any means, but Zimmer's defense was bad early on last year, also.

I will say the LB play has been bad so far this year. If that improves, the play should get better.

Eberflush doesn't bring in players. He has nothing to do with the lack of talent. This has Jerry and Son all over it. This is Football 101.

Now, if you want to talk about how putrid Eberflush is in regards to schemes and actually getting players to play, I totally agree. But after the Joneses actually make things right again with the roster

The Coordinators don't pay the players. They don't sign the contracts. So no, they don't bring in anybody..... You asked a different question than what you stated... Does the Coordinators have a say as to which players to keep? They can suggest it to Jerry but the ultimate decision is Jerry's... How is that boloney?

Yeah. It’s been a month. Nothing has improved. And to be honest, I don’t know that it can get any worse. If they really want to make a playoff run this season, they need to trade for defensive talent and design a system that fits their personnel.

If he's the reason Bland had to cover 2 receivers by himself on that 1st td pass, or our guys were blown past in the other games for long TD's , he should be fired on the spot.

It's not a matter of getting the defense to buy in.

It's a matter of injuries and lack of talent.

Changing the DC won't have any affect on either one of those things.

This def looks like a scheme/coordinator issue after 4 games, and it's mainly the the secondary. Eberpuss is supposed to be LB guru, so if anything have him get these half-assed backers in line. Who in this defensive staff can coach man corners? I think our corners need to be in man more ofter. This zone we're trying to run is porous.

I just hate it when coaches try to make players fit their scheme, when we all know the best of the best adjust scheme to fit personnel.

If we struggle with these bums we're playing the next couple weeks, you gotta fire him just to set the tone after week 6.

He is awful. Wrong guys playing more snaps than others. Murray should have been cut in camp.
