Should I be ashamed of this?

Just spy on them and git back to us asap!!!:starspin

Wasn't it Jason Witten who yelled at a reporter with a NY Giants hat at a camp/practice, something like that I forgot the story. It was probably pretty awkward and embarrassing for that guy.

But then the Commanders don't have anybody like Witten on their team with the balls to call that out.

Tell them you're recruiting for the circus and you heard they have a midget available.

Ahh, how this flew under the radar so far I'll never know. Outstanding, old friend.

By the way, it wouldn't be limited to Snyder either, they could throw in Moss and Randle El while they're at it.

Well, regarding wearing Cowboys gear ... it might cause a stink, and since I'll be there representing an employer that is sponsoring the training camp I'll be attending and actually working at, well it's probably a bad idea.

I'll definitely take my own camera with me and take some pics, and will absolutely report back. I'll probably end up being able to talk to a couple of players.

PS - Contrary to misunderstanding, I won't be going WITH my wife. I'll be going with one of the guys in the company A/V department. Good guy, though ... could be a fun trip.

Walk around with a poster that says, "Call us when you get to 5."

Oh, I thought this was gonna be a thread about Yeager.

I may end up visiting Commanders training camp next weekend.

(GASP!)

My wife and I work for the same employer. She works full time, while I do a little work for them on the side in addition to my public relations business. She told me last night that our employer is a sponsor of training camp this year (I don't keep up with that stuff, really) and that the A/V department is going to Skins training camp next weekend to shoot some video. She asked if I wanted to go because they needed someone to help identify players and maybe conduct some interviews.

I'll probably go. Even if it IS the hated Commanders, it's professional football and it's pretty cool to go to camp for a day. As sponsors we'll probably get free food and such. If they give me shirts and hats or something, I'll just give them to friends who are Skins fans, or I'll sell them on eBay, or I'll burn them ... whatever mood strikes me.

Obviously I can't wear my Cowboys attire. It's a shame I don't have some very subtle pin or something. Any other ideas?

I would not be able to sleep well at night.

But, if there is free food, then, sure, go.

Sure, but you should go prepared. Here are a few items to put on your shopping list -
  • Glue
  • Yardstick
  • Marking pen
  • Construction paper
Next, do the following -
  1. Select a sheet of construction paper (I recommend choosing burgurdy type colored sheet)
  2. Apply glue to one margin of the sheet
  3. Affix that margin to the top of the yardstick
  4. With the marking pen, draw a big arrow on the left-hand side of the sheet with the pointed end facing the yardstick
  5. Write the following words on the sheet: "You have to be THIS tall to own an NFL team!"
Be sure to parade that around with you. Have fun!

Converse sells a sneaker that looks like Cowboys gear.

I have a pair of white shoes that have Cowboys printed on them. Might be a good way of "sneaking" it past them.

I just moved to Richmond a few months ago (actually Mechanicsville). I know what you mean by living in enemy territory. It's actually hasn't been nearly as bad as living in Oklahoma City and rooting for anything Texas.

Come to think of it ... since I've been married ... I've moved to from Texas to Oklahoma to Virginia. Ugh! The things I do for my wife. :)

Before I made this last move I made a deal with the wife to get the Sunday Ticket. I am looking forward to that. I'm not looking forward to Monday night games ending after 1am. I hate living in the eastern time zone.

Is that consecutive playoff losses? Cause, you're at 6 :)

Me, I think it is cool to be that close at any pro team's camp. I hate the Skins but there are some players on that team who I do like a great deal -- Marcus Washington, Chris Cooley, Antwaan Randal-El, Randy Thomas, Sean Springs and would gladly welcome to Dallas.

However, I would take the high road and just be respectful.
