I think there's a reason he was traded to the Browns. Belichick knows we could be a possible Super bowl opponent he wouldn't trade him to us I'm guessing. There's a method to his madness.

Compensatory picks are tradable starting this year but they haven't been awarded yet have they? I believe it's a conditional 3rd rounder.

the condition is *if* they get a 3rd round comp pick, otherwise they get CLE's 4th.

I agree, Dallas would of had to give up a 2nd as bottom of the 2nd round equals top of the 3rd.
