Should Marion Barber be our feature back? *MERGE*

We all know that if we are leading in the 2nd half, we will run more than pass.

I think that's like a football-ism, but I know what you're saying. I feel our pass game this year, that's all. As much as I like grinding, and pounding it out, playing phenomenal defense, I like tossing it around like a crazy man even more - and I think we have the hosses to run that show. We're gonna score quite a few points this year. And if the defense holds the other teams, Barber and julius will have good years, while we control the clock.

Depends on how the running game goes. If a team is very good at running the ball it actually creates bigger plays down field when you do put the ball up. I relize the feat of 2 backs hitting the 1,000 yard mark is very unlikely and has only been done 3 times in NFL history but I do think both of our backs are capiable of rushing for over 1,000 yards maybe not in the same season but I think both have the ability to be good backs in this league. I guess I'm not part of the crowd who thinks Barber is nothing more than a backup runner in this league.

He's got to stop doing some things, like running over safeties any chance he gets (I love it, but a little wiggle in those situations goes a long way). I don't know that he could start for alot of teams, but then again Julius probably wouldn't either. They're two nice backs to have, and in lieu of a superstar back, I'm glad we have them.

On the other hand because of those outside weapons it can cause BP to run the ball even more as defense have to account for those weapons.

Last season was also Barber rookie season. I agree he does not have the moves as Jones does but he does change direction and he does hit the holes with very good quickness.

There is no doubt Dallas will give some DC some sleepless nights during the week. The only question mark I really see with this team is the O-line and myself I have been pretty happy with the 1st unit line this pre-season and hope they can continue to improve and come together as a unit over the course of the season.

My favorite play of 2005 is MBIII running over the safety from Seattle.

I love seeing him do it, when it happens. And, if I remember that play correctly, he got a few extra yards after the KO. I'm talking about the few ocasions in the open field where he takes on the defender, instead of trying to give him the slip and gain a few extra yards. It's a petty thing, I admit, it's just something I've noticed.
