Can't win a SB with any of them anyway. Might as well stick with Dak and see if he improves.

Dak needs to be pushed, not babied like a franchise QB. Is Alex Smith the guy to do it? I don't know. Sam Bradford, maybe? It has to be someone good enough to push Dak, but not someone who will destroy his confidence. Maybe that guy just doesn't exist. Don't know.

How much will a Sam Bradford cost? Everyone wants this veteran QB to come in here to push Dak AND they want some new faces to help the defense AND they want to fix this receiving core. Do any of you remeber the offseason after Romo’s Injury (2016)? Remember when we all wanted them to sign a descent backup QB who can take the reigns if Romo went down again but all we got was a below average QB named Kellen Moore and a 4th round QB project named Dak Prescott. This FO is not using cap space on two starting cailber QBs. The 2016 offseason shows they believe it’s a waste of cap space.

We do need a legit backup....a guy that has played and won some games in the league, but it is too early to give up on Dak.

Of course, if Smith were to come he could turn Witten into Travis Kelce.

Doesn't Smith have a $14 million base salary for next season? That seems like a bunch of money for a back up.

But if he's your starter....that's pretty cheap. And Dak is actually spot on as your back up money wise.

Alex Smith? You mean the guy who just finished as the NFL’s top rated passer? What would we need him for? We are perfectly set with our fourth round dink and dunk guy who finished 10 spots behind Smith in completion percentage, 17 spots behind in passer rating, 18 spots behind in yards per attempt and 23 spots behind him in interceptions. Smith couldn’t even make the team here, that’s how set we are at QB.

The FO will do whatever they want. That doesn't make it the right thing to do. Granted it would be tough to find a guy who fits the bill, which is why I ended my post by saying the right guy might not exist, which would be unfortunate for Dak's development.
