Should We Be Worried After Today's Events?

San Diego blows a winnable game against a team that got nuked last week by Miami. Meanwhile, the Bears light up Detroit. Any chance that our victory was not as impressive as it seemed, since this may not be last year's Chargers? Conversely, any chance that the 'Skins victory against the Bears was more impressive than it seemed?

I don't know the answers, but I'm a little more worried about tomorrow's game than I was this morning (and I already had some apprehension). Am I just being a worry wart?

Regardless of what our opponents did this week....we'll find out in about 24 hours or so...don't worry about it. People play differently against different teams. If we're really as good as we think we'll win, if not, we probably still win :) hahaha

I share your concerns.
I do not think we can make all the mistakes that were made in the Chargers game last week .
We take this one if we got it cleaned up.

Maybe we showed Denver how to shut down their running game.
When a team stops something it dosen't take long for the word to spread how it was done.

I agree. Hopefully, BP makes sure that doesn't happen.

I was going to start up something about this myself. Is is me or is the NFL full of mediocre teams this year. I mean you dont know who to pick!!! I am watching some of these final scores and i am laughing. I am somewhat concerned about tomorrow night.

Why are people getting concerned ? We beat a decent team that plays good at home. Washington beat a Bears team that is probably better than what people expected. Come on though, they mopped the Lions up who aren't very good (Yeah GB lost again too). They faced Orton who was playing in his first game and went up against a really good D. (no secret about Washington's D)Yall are putting too much in the game, cause it's never mattered what we do or what the records are when we play each other. Should be fun tomorrow night. I'm always concerned about losing ever week, Washington is no different and that's despite the ownage we've had on them. Settle down and enjoy and just get pumped up for tomorrow.

Problem with this theory is that it leaves unexplained how SD failed to go to school on the beating Miami layed on Denver.

I look at it this way:

We have beaten the Commanders every way, shape and form possible, all in years we were less talented than this years team.

Brees really is not looking good. He looks like he did 2 years ago. He had gates back and used him, but LT was pretty much contained again and the weakness in the WR's is starting to show. their D laid down in the 4th.

I WAS worried about Bledsoe and how he would perform, but after watching him against San Diego, I think he'll do well in our system. It looks like he's already developed some rapport with our receivers and Julius is going to just get better IMO.

The only weak link I see is Petitti, but he's simply our best option right now.

San Diego is a good team, but so are we. If we don't lose that fumble early in the game the score might have been 35- 24.

I know its a reach.
Maybe the mile high air had something to do with it.
Denver is always very good at home for a reason.

Another thing maybe whoever replaced Gates was a better blocker.
Sometimes stats are over rated

I am not trying to reach for things just saying there are a lot of variblees that are at work here.

Two games into the season, it's pointless to start comparing what teams' opponents did to their other opponents.

For example, New Orleans beat Carolina, which beat New England. Does that mean New Orleans is better than New England? Of course not.

I think it is simple. Once they got up 14-3 and it looked like Denver was laying down, the relaxed. Then Brees got stupid and gave Champ a gift, and it all changed. Without that play, I bet SD wins.

Excellent post......

Atlanta was beaten by the Seahawks....Does that mean Seattle is better than the Eagles, who were beaten by Atlanta?

You simply can't compare games like this.

We beat San Diego.....on the road. We're 1-0.

That's all I care about.
