Should we even be happy about this win?

Maybe all that juicy smoked turkey has gone to my head, but can we really be happy about this win? Until we beat another team that's actually worth it than the tired Giants, what's there to be happy about?? Please give your thoughts
Always feels good to get a win on Thanksgiving, but all we know right now is we're better than the bad teams, and worse than the good teams.

they laid down a few times, a few games they didnt even bother.

YAY because they beat up bad teams

is that you are going for?

Na, even games where they got beat down like Houston or Philly they typically played tough for the first half. It was usually a score given up right and the end of the second and then a whooping ensued.

I think that was just as far as they could push their limited talent before the wheels came off. These last few weeks they have played hard when I expected them to cave in. I'll credit that.

What you or I are going for has NOTHING to do with how this is playing out. I was fully prepared to tank.

Happy may be too strong a word,,, "relieved" that I don't have to stomach a loss on Thanksgiving might be closer to the truth. After today I don't care about wins, I'd rather they play all the young guys and let the chips fall where they may towards a better draft slot.

No the team wasn't because real tanking is only done in the NBA. That said I thought they'd quit and the wheels would come off, and we'd have a good old fashioned free range, organic style tanking.

i think they really wanted to, but i think Daboll knows his time is done, whats he got to strive for.

I mean Dallas really really ddint care to win, but man, when you play a team who just doesnt care, it shows. Giants werent interested in anything.

If smoked turkey don't make you happy, and the win doesn't make you happy then I guess you should spend some money on black Friday.

I assume the cowboys will never win a Super Bowl again. I hope that’s not true but with that mindset, I’m not disappointed when it doesn’t happen.

And if it does happen, then awesome!

But with that said, knowing that Super Bowl won’t come, every regular season game is meaningful. The long term result doesn’t matter, just the result of the game. If we win, I just enjoy it! They just won the game, hopefully made some exciting defensive and offensive plays which they did today.

I know I can’t give up my fandom because it hasn’t happened yet so I know it’s not going to happen. So I might as well enjoy every game they win. But fyi, I still refuse to purchase cowboy gear until serious front office changes are made. But I’ll still root for the team to win. I hate a losing culture

It's like scratching an itch that hurts.
Winning is nice.
Drafting high, not so much.

Daboll lost the team. They are on their 3rd string QB and know they don't have the talent to win. I'm sure it's disheartening and I'm sure they could probably squeeze a little more out of what they have, but only a little.

Huge difference between us and them is we've come off a culture of at least consistently winning in the regular season. They just been bad, minus one fluke season. Also, Rush is a competent back up in this system. Not sure i can say the same about their qb corps.

I can't mess with a team changer. They are weak minded fickle people, who lack loyalty and treat precious memories without the respect they deserve.

Any real fan simply tunes out and steps back and waits it out. That or they suffer. I'm done suffering. I'll watch when its fun and it will become background when it starts to make me sick.

So yeah, just enjoy the times you can, and stop giving Jerry any of your heard earned money.

I’m happy with the win. This is a lot more fun than playing out the season hoping for losses and a high draft pick.

now, im just talking, i dont have facts to back me up, and because you responded, i ll caht to you.

Did Daboll lose the team or did the Giants not give him a good team?

I dont know if Daboll was in the meeting thinking it was a great idea to get rid of Barkley, i could be wrong.

I dont know if DJ was Dabolls choice, so many factors go into this.

However, i dont know what they expected Daboll to do. Now, ive heard from posters here hes a good OC, but their O isnt firing because they have very little.

But to me, idk if he lost the team or if he ever had one.

Just trying to be fair about the guy.
