Depending on what they would want from him, this isn't that bad of an idea. We would instantly have the best offense in the nfl by far, and it would be much easier than fixing this defensive line this year.

Sounds far fetched and I certainly wouldn't want to give them all that much, but I'm pretty confident with Peterson we would go to the Super Bowl this year.

Yes, let's bring in AD or AP, whatever you want to call him.

Then when he get's banged up and is out for the year...we can sit back, eat popcorn, and watch the cowboyszone fans rip Jerry a new one for 2 weeks straight, only this time, the whole board will actually devise a scheme to join forces and take Jerry and Stephen out.

Since it apppears we are not building for the future, and want to win now, should we go after AD? Would a real threat at RB open up the game for Romo to take us to the next level?

I'm thinking if Minnesota is ready to cash in with him, Jerry should do whatever he can to get him.

I laugh at many of you - because Murray's yards per carry are just fine. The issue with the running game isn't execution. It's the gameplan and play calls. Dallas simply does not run the ball. Not because they can't - but because they choose not to.

Murray is averaging 15 rushing attempts a game. The problem isn't the running back.

No thanks, aging RB, seems to have had his share of injuries as well, aging, and they will want too much.
Now, maybe it' just me, and nothing wrong with players setting goals, or personal records goals. But I think, IMO, he was a bit selfish last year, wanting his goal, over the teams goal.
Has that carried over to this year too? I can't say, but I don't want a selfish player. IF that's what he is. I don't know, but that was my initial thoughts.

Also, Cowboys drafted Randle, as a possible replacement for Murray, either due to injuries, or just because he wins the job from him eventually. If not, I'm sure another RB will be selected next year to push both of them. No trade, let's see what Randle can do.
And they are building a good young team, don't trade that away for 1 aging RB, who may not get us to the SB.

The guy just can't be counted on. I hate labeling anyone as "injury prone", but it's got to apply to Murray at this point. Guy is built like a glass gladiator.

We have 2 mil in Cap room at this point. The Cap number will go to the negative in 2014 when Ratliff's contract really starts to hurt, along with the other aging veterans still on the team who landed large contracts on the decline. Therefore, going after AD at this point is not only highly unrealistic from a Cap standpoint, it is also ignoring the fact that the Cowboys will likely be using those picks, that garnering AD would require, to find replacements for said Ratliff and aging veterans.

If you're gonna start a thread say the players name not some initials that are wrong or a nickname

There are threads all over this site started with a players nickname. Don't jump someone because you don't know the nickname being referenced.

He didn't give the nickname just initials for the nickname. Even more vague. And I didn't jump just stated.

It's like if I wanted to start a Matt Ryan thread and just said MI the whole time for Matty Ice without once stating the players name OR nickname. Silly

Could you imagine if the Vikings got us back for the 90s trade........I would give 1 first round pick however cause I truly believe AP could be the player he is today for the next 4 years maybe even 5 or 6. To add AP to this team at this time would be the best thing that could happen to not only this offense but this defense too.
