You make an interesting point, but one week to go in the season isnt when you make a scheme change. You spend all offseason installing your offense, its an extremely tall ask to overhaul that in a month nonetheless a weeks time.

lance should be practicing with the scheme he would run in an emergency.

Actually Rush is not THAT bad if we look at him for what he is- a backup QB. He's someone that can come in and keep things afloat for a quarter, a half, or a few weeks (like he did in 2022).

If you ask him to start ten games and save a sinking season like this year, well, he's not that guy. But I would not be upset if Dallas brought Rush back because as a backup, he essentially did all he could this season.

I too think Lance is a total bust but it's worth retesting that theory. Worst case he repeats his preason finale performance and helps us get a higher draft pick.

Regardless I doubt he costs a fortune.

Dallas has to lose this game. If they win it will be the dumbest mistakes they made all year. This game means nothing to them. They are missing so many starters already why try to win. Play all the scrubs and see how they do. I think playing Lance guarantees a loss, especially with Quinn saying his team will go all out for the W. That's good news.

I'd start Flournoy, Vaughn, (I would have started Zeke if he didn't ask to be cut. I'd feature Schoonmaker and Spann-Ford at TE. I'd start Asim Richards at LT. The defense is too decimated by injuries to play with. But I'd give Andrew Booth another start and let him get burned 4 or 5 more times.

Losing this game may put Dallas in a position to grab an impact player, a guy who can contribute in 2025.
