Should we switch to Brooks Bollinger?

For today's game, Bollinger was upgraded to second-stringer.

I wonder if we should use him- he's younger, more mobile, and can move around in the pocket.

Should we make a temporary QB change?

I wonder if he can throw the ball more than 10 yards.

The most annoying thing about Johnson was his interview. He said:

''Third-and-long, check it down, let them boo you - that's OK by me. ... You've just got to manage the game.''

I'm not sure it'd make a huge difference. Bollinger doesn't have much of an arm. It'd be hard to be much less accurate than BJ was today though.

We know what we have in BJ and it's maybe a chance to put up 13 or 14 points on the board. With Bollinger, maybe he could make enough plays to put another TD up on the board or something.

I don't know. I do know it sucks being in this situation though.

I thought Brad may be able to drive the bus long enough for Tony to get back. Turns out alot of us were wrong. Bollinger may be our only chance next week to get the offense going............. geesh, thats sad.

I'd rather 86 him and get another option at QB, but I'd start him over Johnson if Romo can't go against the Giants.

Johnson should have 1 duty. Holder on PATs and FGs. Period.

might as well start crayton or stanback and run the option. couldn't be any worse

You may find it annoying, but he's 100% correct. Until Romo gets back we're just going to have to deal with it.

NO! He doesn't know the playbook yet.

There are two negatives I see with bringing in Bollinger,

1) Brad has already had much more work with the starters

2) Brad is good at not turning the ball over...

Only reasons Brad stays in IMO...

7-25-2008 "Yeah I am going on record right now we need another QB in the worst kind of way WR isn't the priority, 2nd string QB is what worries me the most with this years roster."

I am no 8 ball but I could see this coming months ago, I will call Jerry and tell what else I know LOL

Last week he threw 3 INTs and had a fumble that we ended up recovering.

He's stellar.

Probably. Although it depends on how well he knows the playbook. We can't really win with Johnson, but if Bollinger doesn't know the playbook, that's a good way to get him or somebody else on the team hurt. As long as he reasonably understands the playbook, I'm all for him starting against the G-Men.

if we go to new york and play not to lose like today, we are going to lose. we need to play to win. however we don't have a choice. between brad johnson and brooks bollinger combined we have what should amount to the worst qb's in any nfl roster.

Good point

I think kind of what I mean was Brad has more experience with the type of pass rush NY brings and might be able to handle it better, rather than throwing in bollinger...i could be wrong though...I thought Brad was going to be a fine bus driver.
