Should we take Broaddus as gospel?

I don’t think anyone has been more wrong than Nick Eatman. I remember when all the talk about Earl Thomas was going on he predicted he would sign with the Cowboys….wrong! Less than two weeks ago he said he thought OBJ would sign with the Cowboys any day…wrong! As for Broaddus he was high on Mike White when he was here and White has looked pretty good with the Jets. I value his opinion over Nick Eatman’s.

There is no “gospel” coming from any sports talk person, only opinions.

And many times, those opinions are designed to get reaction from the listeners/viewers.

Back in the day, there was this abrasive, caustic and confrontational talk show host named Joe Pine. My parents hated him and wouldn’t miss a show.

TV execs learned a long tie ago it’s all about getting the viewers. If they want jerks, give them jerks.

Bryan Broaddus fell into a job because Randy Galloway put him on his show as the rumor monger of Valley Ranch.
..we miss the day so of, "Jimmy the Greek" .... ;)...

I listen daily, have never heard him say 1 thing I didn't already see here or reported by someone else.
he and Jeff Cavanaugh are really out there most of the time, then like you say, regurgitate what we have already known after the fact. Trying to then make it their own.

Broaddus can say whatever he wants, whether it's true or not. Everyone has an opinion; his is just one. No need to take offense.

Broaddus also said he does not think Pollard will play Thursday. He loves Washington and thinks they can make some noise in the playoffs. Since Broaddus is a radio guy I think he comes up with these crazy hot takes to get the fans riled up. Broaddus is also very stubborn and does not like to admit he is wrong. I don’t think he believes the Cowboys are any good.
The next time Broaddus is right will be the first.

How well you run the ball has such a poor statistical correlation with winning in modern football that to make any prediction on that basis is a fool’s errand. NFL games in 2022 are determined almost exclusively by the aggregate of offensive/defensive passing efficiency/explosivity metrics and turnover margin, none of which correlates strongly correlated with running the ball either.

When the Titans have been good, it’s been because their defense stops the pass well and Ryan Tannehill has thrown the ball well consistently. They’ve been bad despite Henry running well on many occasions. Their issue this year is their QB play has been awful and their pass defense is below average (worst in the NFL in passer rating to wideouts and tight ends combined). Henry is fun to watch and his statistics are nuts, but statistically he has minimal impact on their success over the course of a full season. The same is true for Tony Pollard here and it’s why you don’t pay running backs.

Yes because we have the best offense in the NFL  are you really that dense?

Reading your posts reminds me to count my blessings

One of the greatest blessings being that I'm not the poor ba$tard who comes home to you every night

I’ve pretty much had it with Bryan Broaddus. He said today that if Derrick Henry plays the Cowboys will lose. He’s made other outrageous predictions like this in the past. He’s been a consistent hater of the offense for the past several years. Yet they’ve been near the top if not the top in offensive production. So whatever he says about the team, you’ll be better off taking the opposite take. I can see how he get’s analyst jobs as he is very articulate about football. That’s a great thing for him. The problem is that his takes are more often than not just flat out wrong. I can see why he’s no longer a scout. Sorry Mr. Broaddus.

Is he picking on those poor Cowboys? Oh, the mercy!

So having the #1 offense in fact doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things, right?

You just torpedoed your own point lolololol
To you it doesn’t obviously. But you’re a hater so you’ll do/say anything to promote your hate.
