Should we take Broaddus as gospel?

I’ve pretty much had it with Bryan Broaddus. He said today that if Derrick Henry plays the Cowboys will lose. He’s made other outrageous predictions like this in the past. He’s been a consistent hater of the offense for the past several years. Yet they’ve been near the top if not the top in offensive production. So whatever he says about the team, you’ll be better off taking the opposite take. I can see how he get’s analyst jobs as he is very articulate about football. That’s a great thing for him. The problem is that his takes are more often than not just flat out wrong. I can see why he’s no longer a scout. Sorry Mr. Broaddus.
You may not like his opinion, but Broaddus knows football and how players are playing in games. He knows whats up.

I think Broaddus would not even take Broaddus as Gospel.

He gives his opinions. Some of his takes turn out good, others do not

Unlike some others in the media BB has admitted to being wrong on players and some position types of players like some QBs and also some OL,

He may get into arguments or defend his takes with gusto but he has also admitted to being wrong and can make fun of himself.

A lot of these talking heads care about ratings and say outlandish things to get them.

This afternoon the radio show that he is on, his co-horts called him opposite guy and said it's better for the Cowboys when he picks against them.

Any chance they read CowboysZone....
have a hunch maybe an intern or something has a task of reading posts on this message board to get a vibe of the fans and such.

Well said and accurate. I agree.Thats fair. ESPN and that ilk will NEVER tell the viewer they got anything wrong, in fact they double down on their own arrogance. Which is why I haven't watched msm or sports talk largely, in 2 years. Its garbage. But I will watch 105.3 the fan and DallasCowboys.com shows on YT. Thats it for me. I bag on Mike Fisher, some of it he has earned, but even HE is better than legacy media sports talking heads. At least he has guts to engage with the fans in real time. He's still an awesome person and very salty at times...a Jerryite...but he is entertaining as well and has interesting news.BB is the same. Fish and BB are showmen when it boils down to it. They do there schtick...and it works for them. The 1 guy I cant stand is Mickey Spagnola. He's just an arrogant "dug in" entrenched beat writer ...a Jerry Henchman thru and thru. Even Everson Walls can't stand him...thats the vibe I get anyways. Mick is of the Skip Bayless weasel ilk. Sorry for the rant.

Don't forget about me...come on, bro! I need some hate also.
Don't worry; he will get around to you sooner or later. Outside of Dak Fanboobs he will call everyone a hater before long

i like broaddus...especially around draft time.
but he's another that's consumed by the fear of being seen/heard as a "homer" that he over compensates the other way.

as far as I can see NO ONE ELSE on this board talks hate like you do
Those that scream hate the loudest are those full of hate

Truth bomb...Rocky is not the only one that screams hater...read the posts of the ones that use that word, they seem to have something in common.

I heard him on a podcast and that's not what he said. He predicted a Cowboy win but said it would be closer if Henry played
Exactly. Lol. He didn't say anything close to what the og post said.

For Rocky, it's a very simple equation. If the person criticizes the Cowboys, a coach, a player, etc. that person clearly is incompetent or a hater.

LOL. So Rockport made it up?

I'll be honest, Rockport strikes me as a guy who watches TV shows and listens to radio shows and if the hosts aren't saying "Cowboys are gonna murder the Titans", Rocky takes that to mean the hosts think the Titans are gonna win.

I don't think he's all that good at processing what he hears and reads. He does it all the time here where he'll read someone's posts, lose his crap and yet miss the point being made entirely.
