Yes the Cowboys should! While he is a great talent, he’s a bit like Dak in that he disappears in the bigger games! Maybe he’ll bust out of it but he hasn’t shown over the course of an entire season & the playoffs he is worth a huge contract! They need help all over the place so yes, I would trade him!

And at some point there will not be enough money to keep everyone...

People seem to miss understand the value getting a good 1st rounder provides...if they won't build a team using FA to augment the draft then you need as many good players on rookie contacts as possible...

Which means you need as many draft picks as possible.

It's simple math and valuation...get as much as you can out of rookies then trade for more than you drafted them for OR don't give them a big deal and keep them OR don't resign...I'd only ever spend big bucks on the 3 premium positions
Parsons is unreal. Hes like playing with an extra man on defense. Hes that good.

Unfortunately with these big contracts we will always be taking 1 step forward and 2 steps back.

Is the goal to win titles or field solid football teams?

You’re not winning titles until you get a lot of good cheap talent around your 60 million dollar player and Lamb.

He's not that good, he's good in spurts and i'm not even sure that's enough to be labeled as SUCH a great player. I'm not sure he's a great player yet, he has GREAT attributes, but he needs more!!!! He needs to create turnovers besides just trying to get sacks

Say a team like Baltimore or Detroit offers 2 First Round Picks and 1 3rd Round Pick.

Would you accept?
No, he is having a great year. Let's pay him $45M a year for 6 sacks.

Yes Parsons is that good and all players disappear when NFL teams are focused on making them disappear.

You act like Myles Garrett doesn’t disappear lol.

Some of you are ridiculous and just haven’t a clue.

Nonetheless, no team is going to trade for Micah Parsons. Whatever he is, whatever he can do in the NFL, he’ll be doing it for the Cowboys. And he will hold out if not signed to a lucrative extension after this season.

I’m sure Dallas will hold out till the last minute and then make him the highest paid non QB in the league.

The Cowboys are toast for awhile. Dak deal slammed our championship window completely shut.

Other teams are paying their QB $55 million per season. And they shelled out that amount of compensation without their QB coming up on free agency. These teams are still intent on competing for a Super Bowl. That additional $5 million per season doesn’t hamstring the Cowboys.

If Jerry Jones wants better control of player compensation he need only be more prudent signing players he wants to keep. Dak’s play may hinder the Cowboys no different than other teams’ QBs may hinder their’s. Dak’s contract is not what ails the Cowboys.

Haha doesn’t matter. You’re usually on the wrong side of things while I’m consistently right.

Time almost always proves me right.

Enjoy this Dak contract sister.

sounds good to me, better yet, let's talk about how we just spent all this money on lamb, and Dak and how we could CREATE more money to sign him to a deal but we're procrastinating. Then you see @big dog cowboy just got his deal, and @jazzcat22 got his deal, NOW all of a sudden it's time to sign micah!!!

My feeling is you don't trade an absolute for uncertainties. If we wanted to trade someone like Martin, who is nearing the end of his career and is slipping, I could understand that, but you don't trade off your young talent thinking that means you are going to automatically be able to replace him with three players equal to his talent. I mean, even the year that we took him, we did it by default because Surtain and Horn, the corners, were gone. Surtain would have proved to be a worthy pick, but I can't say the same for Horn at this point.

100%. Saving $40M a year allows two $20M FA's and 3 top picks. What 1 player is worth 5?
YEAH THAT'S our motto with free agency!!! Why get one player that's 20+ million, when you can get 5 players for under 6 million dollars (bargain barrel shopping!)

why not??? Do you not hear how hyped up he is, how great of a player is, he's the greatest ever!!!
He is not the kind of player that will have a positive impact on a team’s culture. He’s going to want a big payday. How much better is he than any other teams’ edge rusher. Parsons’ limitations and salary demands make him worth a 3rd round pick, maybe two 3rds for a team desperate right now. Trade deadline is 72 hours away. Parson’s can’t even get on the field. No one will even inquire if he’s available.
