It is a non conference game.
Redmon / Cooper can fill in ok for Martin.

Eagles are sitting Wentz, playing at Rams. Commanders at Jaguars, and I think they lose that game.
So if we lose, we still may win the division.

Not the way you want to win it, but the health of the OL is more important for the playoffs.

Just a thought. Get some different topics out there over all the Dak talk.

I hate to see it happen, but yes they need him to sit and recuperate. That ankle’s been bothering him for weeks and it’s not gonna get better repeatedly being stressed by some 300lb lineman coming at him all game.

I personally think he should, however I read that Zach has started every game since coming into the league and he may want to keep that streak intact.

I'd go the Tyron Smith route with Martin. Make him active, but only in an "In Case of Emergency" deal.

That said, I think given what I know about Martin, he'll do everything he can not to miss a game.

Sit him..

Stop being stubborn. Philly is done. The division is ours.

We’ll get by with Connor Williams.

Colts are probably going to win this game anyways and I’m fine with that.

If the team wants to gamble with his long term health, I say go for it. Whoever heard about injuries getting worse with reinjury? We pay this guy top dollar. He must play no matter what.

If he can play, he should play. Garrett doesn't need to start babying these guys. Suck it up and play like everyone else does. I guarantee Zack wants to play.

not sit but dress as an emergency backup but Williams should get the start , yes..we need this guy for th stretch run so if he can get a game or two with little to no snaps that goes along way..

I would sit him until he feels strong. 3rd or 4th seed probably doesn't make much difference in the end.

We had this discussion in another thread a few days ago, but yes, he should.

This game is against an AFC team and an away game. He should sit out this game and see how he feels the following week against Tampa Bay, and even consider sitting him then and wait for the Giants game if he's not really ready to play next week.

I'm not a Dr and dont know if the injury can get worst, but if it cant, and he can play, then play him.

Agree. Even if the guy got a leg amputation he should play. NFL doctors give passes for all kinds of issues. Head injury stuff is overblown. All other types of injuries cannot be expected to last very long after an offseason of rest and recovery.

If he can play without further injury, then he should play. Every one of these guys are aching in some way and Martin can rest the last game if need be.

If we weren't already missing a couple others, then sitting out might be warranted. But, that line doesn't have the luxury at this point.

I don’t see long term risk but sitting him would get him closer to full health for playoffs

We basically have the division locked up. Sit him down. Conner Williams is at least serviceable.

It shouldn't be up to Zach or JG, it should be up to the medical staff. They would know the risks involved. If Doc says "he can't make it any worse by playing, he just has to deal with pain" and Zach says he can handle the pain, then by all means put him out there and see how he performs. On the other hand, if Doc says "if he plays, he risks worsening the injury and being out for an extended period of time", then I sit his butt, no arguments allowed. That would be my approach, anyways.
