The guy isn't terrible... he has some skills but he isn't working with the first team...

That doesn't matter he is going against 2 and 3 depth players. You still have to show something and get it done and he hasn't. It is fairly obvious that he is not an NFL QB.

that goes to show how absolute terrible our depth is since our backup oline can't hold back scrubs and our backup WRs can't seperate from scrubs....

as far as Showers being ready, that is why I said "yet". Right now, he is NOT ready and we need a backup. problem is is no one, like Austin Davis for example, is gonna sign knowing they will end up 3rd string before the year is out. So we should hope Dak doesn't get injured.

I agree with you. NFL backup ready QB's don't grow on trees and it's hard to get a good one. If a QB is pretty good he's not going to be on the
street cause some team will snap him up quick. Tony going down was a real setback to the team and the goals for the team this year. Just think
about Minnesota who lost Bridgewater and have to go with a rookie or Shawn Hill. Yuk! We at least have Dak to carry us forward and have to
hope we can keep him healthy until Romo returns.

I don't know what the answer is to the Cowboys QB dilemma, but based on what I saw last Thursday night, Showers isn't it.

Yes sir. The reports also had Russell kicking butt and Irving looking awesome. Freaking reporters are liars.

Irving has been one of the few bright spots on the line when healthy. Russell has been nothing but camp talk, there is a guy like him every year.
