QB Jameill Showers is the second confirmed signing. The Cowboys were intrigued enough by his skill set and his versatility to sign him to the PS. Showers finished the preseason 15-of-32 passing for 125 yards with one touchdown and one interception, and stood out for his special teams play as well, where he led Special Teams with three tackles through three games.

TY! Awesome fo SHo!

This is great news. He can play the role of RGIII in practice to help give the defense a fighting chance the weeks we play Washington.

What impressed me was his poise for a guy who came from a small program. He didn't look too flustered. He looks to be where Romo was in his first year. Good athlete but very raw. Hopefully he has the same drive. If he does and puts in the time, like Romo did, I think he has a very good chance to be a good QB in this league.

If they need someone to be clueless in the pocket, be easy to sack and throw a lot of picks, they can always use Brandon Weeden.

but why we got the POOR MANS RG3

I dislike keeping him

We need to get a Blake Bortles type qb on this team to replace Romo when he is done.

He'll have time to settle into the system as a possible backup QB and play special teams as well. Nice!

Somewhat disagree. Romo was always accurate and I'm not sure that is the case with Showers. I was in San Antonio Romo's rookie year. He was with zero doubt the accurate thrower we had out there then. Quincy and Chad and someone else (Can't recall who). They all sucked. I remember Chad throwing at a backstop/net with one of the football catchers in it and he missed the entire backstop twice and put the ball in the stands. God did he suck.

I think they'll need someone to play the role of Kirk Cousins from what I hear.

We haven't seen enough of a sample size to make the kind of accusation.

.....and you're really complaining about a practice squad QB who isn't even close to NFL ready?

c'mon man.
