Play Zeke. No matter what. Even if they are 5-9 at the time (though if the Cowboys lose to the Giants, somebody will have to call me in off the ledge).

And for arguments sake, let's say this team is 7-7 then and the Cowboys are a game out of a wild card berth (a lot of the teams ahead of us have to play each other, so this isn't too far-fetched). Zeke could be coming back at the perfect time.

it's a good idea. if the team is eliminated why would you ever risk your best player?

If dallas is eliminated from the playoff chase by then (we will be), there's no point in playing him.

The fans might enjoy watching him play and of course he will be getting paid.

dont give a toss what the fans might enjoy. All you need is for him to get hurt after a long layoff, in a meaningless game, that impacts the start of your season next year. We already see what this offense looks like without him. No thanks. Keep him on the bench till 2018.

I think it would be a good idea to get him in at the end just to get Dak and the offense some mojo back. Although I will admittedly be rooting for losses at that point, but it would probably do a lot of good to get the offense back and rolling to try to go into next season with any spec of positivity
Just my opinion, but I don't see how winning a meaningless game or two at the end of this disastrous season has any merit going into next season, especially with a long offseason. There will be ample time in the offseason to make improvement. Hopefully, there will be many changes coming as well. At this point, I'd like to dodge any further bad luck or letdowns that have all been tied into this season. Of course if there is some sort of miracle of an opportunity to get into the playoffs, that's a different story.

honestly,. I would MUCH prefer a win WITHOUT Zeke in there to remove that thought process moving forward...God forbid they are something like 6-2 next year and he gets dinged to miss a game...their mindset would already be, "I hope he is back for the 10th game since we will be 6-3 at that time"
I agree with this. I remember in the early 90's when Emmitt Smith held out for the first 2 games in '93. We lost and then he got dinged later that season in a loss to Atlanta. Then for the next couple years there was a mindset that without Emmitt we couldn't win. That was unhealthy. I hope one of two things happen, we win without Zeke or we lose when Zeke comes back. I don't want our confidence based on whether or not one player plays.

Last season obviously had no carryover to this season.

It's this mindset that eliminated the Cowboys from the postseason last year.

It's cancerous. Reject it. Football is and shall always remain a man's game.
But if ppl really think he was screwed over by a kangaroo court, then I say hold him out. **** the League. Worry about yourself. An ACL tear in a meaningless game is beyond a disaster...

We have another problem besides Zeke
Last year they doubled Dez and Beasley just lit everybody up.
This year defensive coordinators decided Dez isn't a threat Beasley's the man and Witten can be covered by a linebacker.
So you got Dez and Whitten who can't get open and Beasley being doubled on the inside.
Linehan refuses to adjust to this and move Dak out of the pocket and give these people more time to get open.
Long story short I think Zeke will make a difference but until they respect our receivers I don't think things will get better.
Good Lord you got Switzer so put him and Beasley in a four wide-set and make them cover two small quick guys

news Flash Scott they can't.

I just can't believe how stubborn an egotistical Linehan is I can't believe Jason doesn't have the balls to do anything about it.

He needs to play in the last 2 games regardless. If Zeke and the offense can get back into some kind of rhythm and win the last 2 games, that momentum from ending the season on a good note would carry over to next year.
What? It does not work like that, or it would of this year, remember the 8 yards against Denver

He’s paid to play football. He plays. The only reason to sit him is if he’s willing to forfeit his salary. In my opinion, players should be practicing more and playing more all preseason to build endurance and game preparation....1 quarter, 2 quarters, 3 quarters, 1-2 quarters.
