Nice way for Dak to get to free agency a year early. It will be interesting to see how it plays out. But for the potential drop in cap next year, I'd say Dak should play hardball to get to free agency.

If he puts money first (nothing wrong with that) and he wants a short term contract, then teams like Indianapolis and New England are his best options and there's absolutely nothing the Jones' could do to stop it.

Some people are too dumb to post.
If you believe what you posted, you are in fact one of those people.

Dak as of today owns the 3rd most wins in the NFL since 2016.
He is producing at an insane rate.

He will be tagged because no one in actual football (now that b.o.b in houston was fired) is this dumb.
A non-tagged Dak would get 50m per year and choose his spot.
Endorsements would FOLLOW him.
He's a QB and will get paid endorsement money anywhere. Dallas is nice but ALL top 10 QBs are getting massive endorsement money.

Chicago, New Orleans, Jacksonville, Washington, NYJ is only a partial list of teams that would GLADLY build their brand around Dak.

Dallas will likely go get a better Defensive coaching staff this off-season AND add players.
And they'll definitely run it back with Dak once healthy because an improved defense, healthy OTs and Dak plus this WR corps is a true title contender.

The alternative is to go backwards.

So whats backwards from 8-8 or 1-3?

I agree but do you not agree if he was still playing and led us to the NFCCG, the value of his contract would have increased off post-season wins? But of course, now there's no chance of any additional post-season play to negotiation .....
He barely won 1 game. . . . and you are talking Championship game.

These Dak-Zoids have no idea what is ahead for them and Dak.
Guess they like to be Dak-slapped from the contract that never was signed to his release this coming Spring.
Yes, it took an act of GOD to rid ourselves of this most inept QB!
Think I might start going to church again.....
