LOL...Of course . The Cowboys QB is the Dream job this year. Anyone would have success.
Not anyone, but anyone with some game would show well.

You have all day to throw, and the team is averaging 5 yards per carry. Just don't screw it up.

I think that's a perfect motto" don't screw it up".

Besides Randles troubled off field issues he wasn't talented enough to replace Murray.

While I agreed with not paying Murray an extended contract I would have Tagged him for one season. Since we were intent on extending Dez we should have instead of the losing bluff Jerry played which backfired with Dez holding out then threatening Jerry which of course he folded.

Murray is obviously showing his worth again just being misused in Philly. But that would have kept the wiinning chemistry together for what could have been a championship run in 2015. Then if Murray got hurt or had an off year his worth goes down or you don't Tag him again and let him walk. If you win a championship you might consider paying him or you Tag him again until you draft his replacement . Murray and McFadden might have been a Dream backfield too.

I'll always believe the overall situation was mismanaged.

Zeke Elliott is vastly superior to both Murray and McFadden. Those guys aren't in the same conversation in my book.

Zeke literally does everything better than Murray. Faster, tougher, better receiver, better pass protector, more secure with the ball, built better for the position.

And that's before we talk about age.

Yes, it appears so early on but that doesn't change the situation was mismanaged last year with Dez and what we might could have done with Murray for at least 1 more season .

And Murray's 2014 season provided a model to duplicate.

Me, too. People keep mentioning the DUI, but I think that had almost nothing to do with it.

I _think_ NFL teams just thought he had so much work to do to get up to speed with the pro game that they preferred to roll the dice on guys who were mechanically closer, but that's just a guess. Because Dak's mechanics under center, his footwork, whatever, never looked poor to me in the first place. The guy was the MVP of the senior bowl, had the highest football IQ of anybody they brought in, is physically gifted, has the 'it' factor everybody's looking for, and was almost a 5th round pick? It doesn't make a lot of sense.

its really astounding to me how this guy was overlooked by everyone

I cant understand how a scout who makes his living at spotting talent wasnt going berserk over this guy. Surely there were some but we just haven't heard from them

John Gruden was certainly singing his praises early and often.

I'm at Barnes and Noble. They said it won't hit until Friday on the stand.

Seems like he does that with everyone so its hard to distinguish the wheat from the chaff

That may be so but Gruden brought up his intelligence, poise and "IT" factor first. No one is 100% in any event. You asked, I answered.

THX amigo

I wasn't trying to **** on your reply (well done Gruden), I just thought that was the running commentary about Gruden so it made me dubious (about Gruden, not you)

NP. Didn't mean to come off so aloof either. And Wade Wilson was another guy who just loved Dak as well. And I've never considered Wilson to be any great shakes at locating or developing talent. Some players are just no brainers if coaches/scouts can keep their prejudices from blinding them.

I have heard that about Wilson too, I'd love to learn more about what he said it, etc. Where did you read/hear about Wilson singing his praises?

There is a small blurb in OP's thread link. But during visits it was mentioned how often Cowboys coaches kept visiting with Prescott, specifically Wilson.

National media trying to drive that wedge.

He's playing well, but he's in the absolutely perfect position. Best offensive line in the NFL with the league's leading rusher, Dez, Bryant, Jason Witten, etc.

There's not a better QB job in the NFL right now.

Funny how none of those scrubs named Weeden, Cassel or Moore could take advantage of this great offensive line, a back who gained 1,000 yards in part-time duty, Witten and Dez Bryant - when he was healthy last year.

Now when Dak is having success it's, "Anyone can play behind this offensive line, with this running back, with this tight end and with this receiver (even though Dez has been unavailable during the Cowboys four-game winning streak)."

Maybe Erod is right. It's not about Dak. It's all about the team surrounding.

Finally we have built an offense which almost anyone can have success with.Brilliant. It's only taken about 10 years.

Yea. But they didn't have Zeke. Lol

It's the typical excuses we've been listening to for how long ?
