If Tyler Smith is a better OG than OT this year, why play him at OT? The Cowboys haven't had a great LG for at least a couple years. The OL doesn't get better with a weak LG, right? Why not trade for a OT and leave Smith at OG?

BC he has to learn how to play the position. Tyron Smith started at LT as a rookie. First round picks should always be started at the position you drafted them to play. How else can you know you filled that hole?

The speculation that the Cowboys will acquire a starting offensive lineman before the season starts is certainly trending but sorry folks, not gonna happen.

This is the truth.

They aren’t likely to make any moves and if they do it’ll be a guy like Cameron Erving

Dallas will have to trade for the guy if they want him. If Jags waive him, the Panthers will pounce. He seems small in photos to be a long term solution at LT.

Curious on his trade value. Now of course Jacksonville is in no need to trade him and know any team asking would be in a position of weakness/desperation.
Was taken round 2 last year, still has 3 years of a rookie contract. Unproven Left Tackle, so it's not like we are acquiring a tackle that we know would provide at least average play.
His ceiling is probably the best of the bunch, unless Tyler Smith hits his full potential.

Drafted one spot after Dallas took that trash CB that won't be here in a year.
And right after that, board favorites Asante Samuel and JOK....ouch

We've been drafting fairly well, but not in the 2nd round of 2021.
At least we got Diggs in the 2nd the year before

Tackles are highly coveted...thinking Jags will ask for a first which won't happen. 2nd? Maybe...
No. This guy is currently the backup RT.

I do agree that it would require a trade. We have some depth in other areas, so it could be a player swap plus a low pick.

0% chance Little is released. He was just a 2nd round pick last season and if they do not re-sign Taylor, he is their future at RT.

Panthers have Moton at RT and Ikem at LT
