What?? We weren't the only ones that think the Pats are classless for running up the score?! Well fancy that!

http://www.fannation.com/truth_and_rumors/nfl

Some Dolphins players were unhappy about the Patriots throwing with a big lead Sunday. ''Everyone was disappointed with the lack of respect,'' Chris Liwienski said. ``It's a kick in the teeth and lacked some class. Enough is enough.''

Miami Herald

And insult to injury...speaking of old players having something to say about today's teams.

Several members of the 1972 Dolphins -- the only perfect team in NFL history -- spoke out this week about what's looking like the worst team in Dolphins' history. Their emotions ran the gamut -- sadness, disgust, sympathy, and yes, embarrassment. "Pathetic,'' Hall of Fame linebacker Nick Buoniconti said of the Dolphins' personnel mistakes. ''Trent Green is starting to shape up as a pretty good move, huh?'' he said, sarcasm dripping. ``And Jason Allen has really fulfilled expectations.'' Former Dolphins running back Jim Kiick called these Dolphins the worst team he has ever seen. ''Embarrassing to the franchise,'' he said. ``We feel for the current players. It hurts. [But] I couldn't believe how bad they were. The defensive backfield is terrible. They're at least three or four years from [contending].''

Dolphins kept passing as well and put up 21 points in the 4th qrt. If there were so concerned with the final score why did they not just run the ball and help kill the clock?

Wouldn't it be ironic if not only did the Pats beat their record and go undefeated, but that the Phins set the record for worst record of all time at 0-16...

It would be, but neither are going to happen. But, i would say that the 'Phins have a better chance then the Pats.

I am rooting for Sean Taylor to remove Tom Brady's head WELL after the play is over this weekend, when he's still out there in the shotgun up 21 in the 4th.

Or better yet - blow out Tom Brady's knee.

You don't want him hurt? Don't put him out there in garbage time to embarass your opponent. That little turnip works both ways.

Get it done Chone Tailurz.

I am stunned and confused by the amount of posts defending the Patriots I see on this board the last couple of weeks. Its as if I stepped into the Twilight Zone. hey Im all for being objective but this is just odd.

I love it when my team destroys the other team. Nothing bores me more than playing out the string. I wait all week for the game and if my team is scoring, I don't want it to stop. So when my team gets pummelled, which is what happened two weeks ago, there's nothing to do but take it like a man.

Sorry but this is not madden. You don't do that in the NFL it is one of the most clessless moves a team can pull. But it only hurts the Pats by doing so. Bill is pissing off alot of players around the league and when he needs to sign someone real cheap they are going to think twice about it, There are other teams that they could take a pay cut to join just to get a ring and thats the only reason N.E. is able to have so much talent and stay under cap. It is also going to make it harder on them when they play these teams again. They are already tainted and now they are making it worst by being cocky classless morons. Fans are supposed to love watching their team kill another team but coaches and players are supposed to have a mutual respect for each other. Pats are skum and karma is a ***** boys.

I still don't think that the Pats "ran up the score" on dallas. If Wade would not have called timeout, they wouldn't have scored that last TD.

In miami though, I can see why people are pissed. That fake spike going into the half was just BS.

Couldn't care less. Probably my all-time favourite football (including Cowboys games) was the 1991 Cotton Bowl when the Hurricanes laid the smackdown on the Longhorns. I loved every minute of it.

Somehow I doubt people would be this indignant had it been us running up the score on the Pats.

Maybe the Dolphins should play some defense and stop the Pats. They cut lead to 42-28. After Titan collapse, BB was smart to put Brady back out there.

Couldn't agree more Nors. Good to have your wisdom back round these parts.

Let's just say that IF we have a Cowboys/Cheatriots Superbowl, I sincerely hope that WE run up the score on them.

What do you think the 1972 Dolphins would prefer?

A. That New England and Indianapolis lose to preserve them as the only undefeated Champion?

or...

B. That the Dolphins come around and start playing really good football?

A - they don't want to lose the record and aging guys

And they would agree with pats burying a team when game is still in question. That's old school hard nosed football.

Lauded when Red Ball did it earlier this year by the masses. Deservedly.

If we had run for a meaningless touchdown on fourth-and-goal from the 1 with less than 25 seconds remaining, instead of kneeling on the ball, I certainly would understand if our opponent was indignant.

Look what we did against the Bucs last season. Or better yet, look at what the Dolphins did last season when they spanked the Patriots 21-0. The Dolphins had first-and-goal at the Patriots' 5-yard line with 1:30 left in the game, but did they try to punch it in the end zone one more time? No, they kept having Joey Harrington kneel on the ball until the clock ran out. That's the classy, respectful thing to do. But apparently, the Patriots don't feel the need to return that respect.
