So what RW did not have a big day....we WON. Ausitn did. THis is something the Cowboy fans, players, media, front office, coaches etc......this is something we need to get away from. We are a football team. We need to STOP with the self imposed pressure to only APPRECIATE winning a certain way. This kind of mentality is why we have not functioned as a FOOTBALL team in a long time. If we are not throwing bombs or getting sacks or getting INTs or getting long TD runs, the whole Cowboy nation comes unglued.

I have seen this team QUIT when they give up embarassing plays. Heck this defense gave up an ENTIRE drive because on 3rd and 2 we stopped them, but Bowen jumped offsides and gave the Falcons a 1st down. Show some backbone and stop them again, don't escort them to the endzone because you are dissapointed. I have seen this team apologize when they don't win like WE ALL THINK they should. This is a classic case of being a frontrunner, of being a team that is only interested in winning while LOOKING good.

Sure I want Roy to be succseful...but if you want to complain about something, complain about ALL OF THE PENALTIES

We should NOT let the media off the hook writing aritcles about Roy Williams after we beat this team by 20. The MEDIA said we would lose...the oddsmakers had us as 2 point underdogs....so since the MEDIA was WRONG...they should man up and talk about a team they underestimated. I am not interested in the media and their articles about Roy Williams....all that is a way to DEFLECT that they were WRONG about this team and this game...so any aricles written by people complaing about Roy Williams is a way for them to build credability with the fans who are upset with Roy as well. But I ain't buying it...if you wrote we would lose, if you wrote we are not in the falcons league.....then man up and talk about the GAME!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry man, but there is a big difference between not having a good game, and just flat out playing poorly. RW11 straight up dropped two very catchable balls today, which brings his streak to 5 games, thats right he's dropped at least one very catchable ball every single game this season that he's played in. For a "number 1" he sure has a penchant for drops, for a guy with amazing hands everyone talks about, he sure has a penchant for drops. I was as excited as the next guy when he came here, and I'm definately one of the people the debbie downers would call a kool-aid drinker, but RW11 is not getting it done right now. You gotta catch the ball when its thrown to you, and he just isn't doing that right now.

not disputing that...but Roy Williams should NOT be the big story. We were 2 point underdogs. Everyones "power rankings" have us at around #20. The Falcons were using us a warm up game for their showdown next week against the saints. I laughed at all of that...we had not played well all year. Had we played well and lost to the giants, Broncos, KC etc....then I would doubt this team. But we are BETTER than the falcons. And it is really not even that close.

The big mouth experts at all the media outlests should only speak on the Boyz if they are discussing how terrible they themselves are, not Roy.

Jerry, Garett, Wade, Romo....they have shown to be so mentally fragile that they will FORCE the ball to Roy to justify his acquisition....and I call BS. We don't need to win in a manner that PLEASES the critics....we need to just WIN. Roy will get better. It is LAUGHABLE to suggest Crayton needs to play in front of Roy!!!!!!!!

Oh, I see, you're talking about the mediots? I stopped listening to one word those people say a long time ago. We've already have numerous people on this very forum talk about different meetings they've had with various sports media personalities, and to a man they all say dogging the Boys is good for ratings/newspaper circulation/website hits, so why listen at all? They are only saying that stuff to get you all riled up.

All that being said, I still won't refuse to complain about Roy because he's not catching the football. When you are a big bodied, slow, no agility having, possession receiver, you better catch the ball every time its thrown to you. He wants to be a speedy, deep threat, big play guy, and just doesnt have the physical gifts to be that guy and it seems he can't accept that. Right now, teams aren't doubling him, they aren't rolling coverage his way, they arent even shading him, they just put a corner out there on him and playing regular coverage. Very soon Austin is gonna start drawing some extra coverage, that when we better see Roy step it up.

Sorry, can't do it. #1 Receiver? You've really got to be kdding. He might be able to block, but he is not a #1 receiver. Plain and simple, we gave up too much for him. We are very lucky that Miles Austin has stepped it up because Roy is not a threat.

I tell you what... the Falcons first drive and then our first drive led me to say to myself, this team is flat out embarassing.

BUT then IT happened. The Cowboys defense came back onto the field and DARE I SAY, they were playing AGGRESSIVE. I was elated.

It was a very emotional game in the sense that you saw ALOT of GREAT THINGS that lead to the "peaks" of your emotion THEN you saw this stupid penalties and missed tackles that led to the Valley's. GREAT win but somewhat hard to watch. IF not for Austin then the young QB in Ryan probably plays well enough to keep it close for entire game.

All in all, I saw alot of positives. This team has real potential. I am enjoying the ride(as Romo so eloquently puts it) but I know that this team and all the mistakes cannot go that far. There IS time to change that but I dont see those changes happening. Not predicting that, I literally dont see it. Its the same thing every week.

I'm in. This game went down almost to what I predicted earlier in the prediction post. I said Austin is going to be the difference for the offense which will allow RW to be a true move the chain poss receiver with nice stats once "he" settles into that role. He will compliment Austin and allow JW to rome the middle freely. Who cares about his title as long as the team wins!! The only thing I missed on yesterday was the score I had 38-10 and I felt Spencer was going to break out..darn Ware had two sacks...now lets take this momentum and improve!! Go Boyz!!

Count me in. Roy didn't play well, but I have to think his ribs are still pretty sore. Besides, his teammates stepped up.

Count me in. However, I've been one of his biggest supporters since he got here. I'm now going to state the obvious - he has 10 games to show me (and everybody else) something. Seeing that, after 6 games (5 for him), he only has 12 catches, he would need to end up with about 55-60 for me to think he has anything left in the tank. I don't think that is asking too much of him at this point - that's only 5 catches a game from here on out. SHOULD BE doable for someone that "claims" he wants to be a #1. Now prove it.

Huh? Please tell me these catchable balls that he has dropped up until yesterday?

Well to start with there was the fade route down on the goalline that he dropped for a TD, the Carolina game I believe. The Giants game right before half Romo threw a beautiful pass down near the goalline, and Roy did a beautiful job of adjusting to the pass. It hit him right square in the hands, and he dropped. Was it a tough catch? Yep, but if you're a "number 1" then you gotta catch that ball. He had two absolutely atrocious drops yesterday. The first game he dropped a dig route, is was just slightly over his head but he didnt have to jump or anything. Hit him right in the hands and shot through. He just flat out isn't catching the ball real well right now.

I agree with anyone who says he needs to play better....heck he said it was the worst performance of his life. But we CANNOT let these so-called experts off the hook. The MAIN story has to be us dispatching of the Falcons rather easily....Roy Williams at best is a minor story. Heck Barber, Jones, Bennett, Choice....they were all productive, but they did not set the world on fire. But the media has found a wound they want to keep stabbing every chance they get. Had Roy caught 10 balls for 150 yards and 2 TDs and we LOST....they would talk about how forcing him the ball cost us the game. The Roy Williams stories were formulating as soon as the trade was made....and they really went into overdrive when we dumped TO. So it is pointless to bemoan what cannot be changed. Romo has had 3 of the BEST games of his career in his first 6 games. WITHOUT TO. As long as this team concentrates on getting BETTER, and not on making people happier....we can reach our goals. And if this is what we EXPECT out of the team....then as fans this is what we should EXPECT out of each other....we want the team to win...we want the team to get better.....we should not apologize for wins...we should not want people to be fed the ball to soothe egos.

I;m glad we got him. I understand he isn't living up to his potential but I believe he is still a good receiver. Only problem we probably did pay to much for him. With Austin emerging a young draft pick would be nice right now. Hurd is expendable, time to move Otree up and draft a young receiver this year. I just hope what we payed for #11 doesn't come back and bite us in the *** cause Miles is going to want some.
