After reading the Wells' report, well not all of it but a good portion since I found it interesting - (http://www.sun-sentinel.com/media/acrobat/2014-02/149251740-14072021.pdf) - I propose we sign Martin to a low money, multi-year deal (see: Selvie, G). I don't think he'd start over Free, certainly not Smith however it would more than sure up our depth at both tackle positions, and Martin may be able to takeover for Free at RT next season or the following. Anyone who reads the report will realize the exact environment Martin requires, for better or worse, we have.

Side-bonus - Jerry gets his annual "big splash" itch scratched in a beneficial move.

Pass, I have a problem with a 300 plus man who gets bullied. My goodness if your not man enough to stand up for yourself then I really have no use for that guy.

If you read the report it's apparent that it was less him not standing up for himself and more his "reserved, intellectual nature" that they were bullying. I think it's a good thing he didn't punch them in the face to be honest, read the report and I'm sure you'll agree any normal American male would've reacted with much more malice in response to the harassment he received than walking out of practice.

Attitudes like that are why bullying remains a major problem in the US

Sorry I expect an NFL player to stand up for himself. This is not some little kid getting picked on by another this is a grown man professional football player. I agree with Deion he needs to stand up and take care of it, you don't stand there and take that.

I don't care the guy missed games over this crap, grow a pair my god this is NFL this is not some fricken school yard. Yes they will test you in the NFL they will rip on you and you either man up or you will not make it. We don't need mentally weak players on this team.

I don't think Jon Martin is the kind of guy we want in the locker room. Granted the Dolphins locker room sounds like a complete goat rodeo, with Martin's propensity to have another breakdown at any time due to behavioral health complications, I don't think that relying on him would be a good move, aside from playing a backup position.

Not sure his momma would let him play for the Cowboys.

People can hate on Martin all they want but he did the right thing. Incognito is trash. There is absolutely no reason this should have taken place and thats on the Dolphins organization. This is a multi billion dollar industry. Can you imagine the lawsuit had this been Apple? BP? Ridiculous.

Maybe Martin actually had a brain and realized it's smarter to avoid a scuffle with a co-worker. Not only to avoid a giant rift in his workplace, but possible injury. He gets in a fight with Incognito and a freak accident happens, he's left with no options.

Martin acted like a professional and the Dolphins organization should be penalized heavily, just like every other major company. As far as Incognito, the 300 pound teenager, he'll get what he deserves when no one signs him. Can't act professiobal at work? You dont get millions of dollars. Simple. Much more is expected out of the common man than is expected out of him and he still cant man up. Good riddance.

The problem with the NFL is someone will sign him and pay him. Empowering bullying and making it so that someone like Incognito has no consequences for his actions.

Yes if this was an office enviroment but it is not, it is the NFL testosterone filled lockers childish pranks and bullying and weak do not survive. Right or wrong that is the way it is. Trying to compare the NFL to how things run in corporate america is a stretch. Call me old fashion but there was bullying when I grew up but many of us were taught how to handle a bully and it worked then it will work today
