I would go hard after Carr a proven 3-4 starting CB.
Why do you think Dallas will not go after a big name CB just because of Jenkins in his last year.
Be more of a reason. Jenkins can't stay healthy so I doubt they resign him yet. I would take Carr over Jenkins.
Your rookie CB in the 1st or 2nd round will be the 3rd corner, not the slot CB. Scandrick will still slide inside, that's why they re-signed him. He's a pretty good slot CB, but the rookie will kick outside in multiple WR sets.
Okay, let's say you sign Carr to a 5 year 40 million dollar deal, and then Jenkins has a Pro Bowl year in 2012. You're going to let him walk? Heck no. Now you have to sign Jenkins to a long term deal.
Develop your CB's through the draft because they're too expensive in free agency.
