The paranoia regarding this line and that peter’s will fix it is deafening.

Would be nice to have the vet. He played well and for 15 games last year.
Last year he expected to play and probably stayed in pretty good shape and went through the Bear full training camp. To expect a 40-year-old to come in, without a training camp and make a difference is crazy.

I heard he stayed in shape because he wanted to play this year. These vets that stay in shape and know what to do. They know the assignments he just needs to know the terminology that goes with the blocking assignments. They can tell him in the huddle if he don’t know right now. And he may not play the first game.

Good lord. We get it.

Nobody on this board is an NFL scout or has any credentials to render their talent analysis.

But I do seem to remember Broaddus posted here and he got ran off.
Broaddus ran himself off. He is very "thin skinned".

Why are so many acting like this guy is the Cowboys savior? Yeah he would be good for depth since the Hillbillies failed to build depth on the OL via free agency but we're not talking a perennial pro bowler in his prime

I hope you stock up on lots of alcohol.

You may even want to start drinking now before Peters signing is announced.

I can't even imagine what it is like to be 40....and still have the power to hold out for more money. Ballsy....

Is a lock to be a 1st ballot Hall of Fame player (although he'll actually have to retire before that can happen).

I love it, me too dude...we drafted him let's play him and get busy living or get busy watching dak die!
When the Tulsa QB got hit or sacked, it was rarely because of Tyler Smith.
- The issue was that Tyler would sometimes hold to prevent that from happening.

Peters is a LOAD.

It's hard to imagine at this point that he was a TE in college.

"He registered far more knockdown blocks (61) than catches (21) in his last year in college."

Sure but he was drafted to play LG next to a future HOF LT
It wouldn't be the craziest move though. Not for this Front Office.
In 2021 yes; however, they drafted him to eventually play LT.

From what I read, some of those holds were dubious in that he so manhandled his guy and pancaked him that the officials thought it had to be a hold when it really wasn’t. I’m sure plenty of them were true holds but since he probably won’t manhandle his guy as much in the NFL, Im hoping the holding penalties will come down. He’s plenty strong enough to just stonewall his man without pancaking him and that’s all we need him to do. Of course, it could go the opposite way if he still wants to pancake everyone and has to ramp it up a notch in the NFL to do it.

Stephen must be working on those Randy Gregory-type contract clauses
RG deserved that clause (and many players like him accepted it, knowing it was valid concern) and glad he refused it..hes overrated and oft inured or suspended. He did Jerry and fans a favor..thats a face, where this is who knows , A lot of tests and physicals were done and negotiations started, Give it time..jeez, saying it money isn't a thing IMO if he played for around 2mil base lats year that not a lot..

Which means this will not get done because we’re slow to the table and another team will swoop in.

Where has this mythical team been all offseason? This isn’t some high valued player on the first day of free agency. Team rosters are set and if someone wanted him, they had the last 4 months to sign him. He is only on the radar for us because of injury. Same with the other 31 teams and I’m not worried about philly. Their backup OT will be back soon enough, they don’t really have the cap space, and Peters departure from there was less than amicable.
