carp had a couple solid showings, basically anytime he got a lot of playing time he looked good. and he didn't even play that much until december started anyways.

I get it.

Just that the running theme around here... and even the NFL is week to week, game to game.

I dunno, JJ looked pretty good in the Seattle game. It was Barber who looked like the stiff for a change.

i dont wnat to turn this into a julius disscusion!! lets look ahead..

but now that youve said something i have to say something. he had like 3 good runs. he was having a pretty bad game until he busted that one. so you can actually say, one play and everyones back on the julius bandwagon??

One game? He had a 1000+ yard season. He had some games where he didnt do much but he stayed healthy all season and had to split carries. Jones does pile hunt sometimes but he isn't as bad as you're making him sound.

sometimes? always, the guy literally has jumped into piles on first and ten.
He was never all that special anyways, he has one move and once he lost his quickness his one move was rendered useless. And to be honest I didn't even see him do his little jump stutter from his rookie year more than a handful of times this whole season.

22 rushes for 112 yards with a long of 35 is a good showing for any back. He could have done more in the passing game, but he isn't on the field for third downs.

Jones had a better game than Alexander, by far. Alexander only had one good run on his last play of the game. Is he a pile hunter too?

I think the problems JJ has can be fixed by good coaching.

Alright I was just curious. I didn't mean to turn it into a JJ conversation. I just wondered why you don't like him. I understand what some of you are talking about, but he did rush for over 1,000 for the first time in his young NFL career. I'm a diehard ND fan and thought he was a great runningback in college. He had some tough times due to grades, but he worked hard and came back to ND for his senior year and had a great season and was drafted high because of all that hard work. I just want someone that has gone through that to do well at the next level. He was finally healthy and played well at times and bad at times, but he still rushed for 1,000 yards.

Abiamiri could have had a lot better numbers if he wasn't facing double teams. He also would go up against some teams best lineman. He was helt a lot this past season as well, but I think he's a good DE. I hope he has a successful NFL career. I was hoping that with Tuck as well, but it's hard to root for a Giants player.

His 2006 Stats:
43 tackles
15 tackles for loss
10.5 sacks
2 forced fumbles

He's pretty quick of the ball and can get to the qb or ball carrier pretty fast. Rivals had him with a 4.5 40 coming out of high school. He was 6'5" 245 then. I'm not sure what his 40 time is now. He's listed at 6'4" 270 now.
