Based in the article I posted, Apple is paying artists more than the industry standard, and that was at least in part in order to conpensate then for the free trial period. Devil is in the details.

No one cares about the details these days. The just blindly believe whatever they read or see on the news and Internet.

Apple is always trying to shank people which is why I refuse to buy their products.

This is all born from that idiot that died of cancer. Selfish self-centered *****. Karma caught up with him and deservedly so.

This is pretty ignorant. If you had bought their stock a few years ago you'd be singing a different tune.

Ya I had to google her to find out she actually does write her own songs which is a rarity in todays pop music world. Paul McCartney had better step aside...........:muttley:

Neil Young describes her as "a great writer"

In regard to Swift, Kristofferson said that "she blows me away. It's amazing to me that someone so young is writing such great songs.

Parton is "extremely impressed with her, especially with her songwriting

There is an authenticity there."[373] Nicks believes Swift writes "songs that make the whole world sing, like Neil Diamond or Elton John."

What do they know? Lol

Now see, I say screw artist that do that. I mean, why should I buy a crappy song? If you are a one hit wonder, I don't want to pay for the other nine crappy songs you made.

Better to take the dollar, then no money at all. Which is why they changed their minds. Now to make the cable / satellite companies the same way. Ala carte baby!

As for Google, I would think we would know if they were doing the same thing. Is Taylor Swift's music on Google Play? If it is, I would think the answer is no.

You can thank Apple for being able to buy single songs.

Forget Beatlemania or even Elvis 1956. Swiftmania is in full bloom. Fans are rushing the stage, tearing her clothes off. Crying at the site of her.

How do you know I didn't own there stock? Or is it ignorant that you say that not knowing if I did or didn't? You know, I would sell you a pet rock. That's stupid, but if I can make a buck off of you, I will.

again, good for her for standing up for what she believes, and it looks like she's gonna get her doe anyway...

as far as trying to justify her as being a "great talent"... what do you think? not what does celebrity a or b think... what do you think?
can you recite any of her lyrics, does it touch you?... if not, leave it alone and stay on topic...

On a different note, the Apple Music app is a big jumbled mess. They really blew it on this one

How so?
Details please.

This is just my opinion, but they tried to cram all possible ways to consume music into one app. Streaming, Radio, iTunes, Local files, and a bizarre social networking feature. It just is not clear how to navigate between them all. The buttons are small and the options are many. When I am looking for a tune while driving or jogging, I do not want to have to carefully determine which of these ways I want to listen to it and then try to figure out how to get there. They also used the exact same interface as their current Music app, I was hoping for something new.

The content is great, it seems like most all of the major artists that Spotify has lost are there. I'll keep using Spotify in the meantime because their app is much easier to use and their set of pre-made playlists for every occasion is just far and ahead above Apple.

Thank you for that.

So... Would you say there needs to be a main menu (less possible ways)

Then a "advanced" menu, if you will...

I am big in user friendly intuitive. Easy abc 123 navigation.
