Is this series any good? I watched about 30 minutes of the first episode and not really sure what to think.

I couldn't really ever get into it and I typically think everything HBO does is great.

It had it's good parts and bad parts. I thought it was a pretty good show.

It kept me from watching Dexter at first. I couldn't get past Michael C. Hall's character in Six Feet being a serial killer. I'm glad I gave it a second chance.

Have you finished Oz already?

No, I am towards the end of Season 4. I heard the series goes extremely downhill after that, this is why I started searching for a completed series and somebody at work told me about Six Feet Under.

I watched about 30 minutes of it a few nights ago and thought it was somewhat strange.

Oz, The Sopranos and The Wire all seemed great during the 1st Episode, so I am not sure about Six Feet Under.

But I downloaded the every Season and have put about 3 seasons on DVD already, so I have to at least watch a few epidoses :laugh1: .

If you are just wanting to watch something...check out The Tudors. Pretty good show.

Have you seen Deadwood? It's only a few seasons and it's EXTREMELY good.

Don't get me started. Man alive they screwed the pooch in letting that one go.

Not only that but they promised a 2 movie (2 hours each) to wind up the series but never delivered. I remember I seen an interview with the guy that played Swearingen (sp?) and they asked him about the movies and he said he guessed they scrapped that too because they took the set down but never bothered to tell anyone from the cast.

Great show and I still am mad they let that one go.

Yeah, I never understood why they quit all of a sudden. It was extremely well received.

They were trying to save money. I believe I read they did so by cutting that show because it cost too much to make due to the sets, wardrobes and animals or something like that.

Don't remind me :banghead:

Good show. Little too much "homogenized" emphasis for my liking, but it's worth watching.

Six Feet Under was a great show and definitely one of the best shows HBO ever had along with The Wire, Curb, and The Sopranos.

I haven't tried Deadwood because I heard it was never completed.

Was Deadwood just a short series or did they cancel it?

Well, it's still fantastic even if it wasn't completed.

The first three seasons are great in my opinion. It started to lose something the last two however (maybe I just lost interest but the writing didn't seem as good towards the end).

I felt the same way. Didn't even watch much of the last season.

If you are interested in a mini-series, give Generation Kill a chance.

Reporter: So did you get cancer from smoking?
LTC: No, I'm just lucky

That exchange killed me

Yeah, I heard it was good, I just don't want to get into a series and then not be able to get closure :D .
