Looks like the Skins cut their fifth and sixth round picks and have placed their fourth-rounder on IR.

All that remains of their 2005 draft class are the two first rounders and an H-back they took in the 7th.

Ramsey is just an average player who lacks any accuracy past 20 yards. LTN bought that stat freaks book and can probably quote the numbers but he was atrocious past 20 yards.

Add to that the Skins have one of the worst WR corps in football and a speed back behind a huge OL and its just a cluster on offense for the Skins.

The defense has more talent and a very good DC but they also had some key off-season losses on that side of the ball. I dont suspect they are as good as they were last year because they have less talent.

Gibbs is a decent X and O coach but he is behind the times a bit and has been horrid in personnel decisions. HORRID!

What Snyder needs is a guy with an eye for talent and the gutts to tell Snyder it is time to stink for 3 years and rebuild with some young kids. Cutting all these draftees after not having really any draftees for 3 years now is a recipe for disaster. The cap situation is bad and will only get worse because they have little no draftee talent to build the team around.

to answer your question...NO...he started too.

And no, he doesn't...the fact that you had to ask whom he played against goes to show you pulled that one out of your butt...

Brunell did not start this preseason. He played behind Ramsey in each game. Mostly he played with the second and third squads. Not sure if he played much with the starters on offense but it wasn't much if he did.

He did looked a lot improved but lets halt on calling him a probowler. :)

Check this quote from Extremeskins:

:lmao2: :lmao2: :lmao2:

they say this stuff every year, its hilarious. Even when they lose and lose and lose they still talk about the playoffs.

I try to be as unbiased as possible and I just have to laugh hysterically at the above quote...."All the pieces are there"?!?! Which pieces?
Everyone talks about their defense being so good, which it played well last year BUT they still have some serious weaknesses. They're going to get gouged by the run and going to be unable to generate a pass rush with just the front four, an achilles heel that we can relate to.
Sure their OL has some big names and good players on it, but whenever I watch them, they just don't impress me as a unit. I see Ramsey eating it an awful lot and Portis getting stuffed.
They certainly don't have anyone that can stretch the defense...another problem we can relate to....when we had Quincy back there, teams loaded up in the box and we couldn't move the ball. Portis will have to run for 3000 yards this year because i don't see any of their WRs being able to get 1000 yds.
I actually like Ramsey, hard to admit being that he's a foreskin, but he has just simply stunk for 3 years now. He's just not figuring it out. Drew Henson has had one season and two offseasons and hasn't figured it out yet 80% of the people here already want to axe him.
Wasn't Ramsey the one that gave us 3 or 4 ints in one game thereby quadrupling our yearly total?
Brunell, he has, admittedly, looked good in preseason but frankly I think he's about a short step and half behind Testeverde as far as needing to hang it up.
To be honest, I was far more concerned with their roster the last few years. It seemed that they had higher caliber players and more depth. This year, they flushed most any player that had talent and brought in scrubs. If they ARE better this year, then it will have been a SERIOUS case of addition via subtraction. On paper, they frighten no one.
And then....there's the whole disconnect with reality that has long existed throughout the district of columbia. When has anyone there ever had a clue?
