Skins vs. Cowboys 09 season..

Nice try..now go put together the numbers over the last 5 years..IM waiting!!

Can't decide what sucks more, your posts or your team. It's like a match made in heaven.

The Skins barely won at Dallas last year when the Cowboys decided to run the ball only 9 times because Garrett can be an idiot at times. Then a badly banged up Cowboys team pretty much controlled the game at Washington even though Romo was just coming off the finger injury and clearly wasn't himself.

Orakpo probably won't do much. 4-3 pass rushers rarely do in their rookie season. Mark Anderson did for the Bears back in '06, but if you watched him that season it was amazing how many times he went completely unabeited to the QB. After that, teams started to not miss assignments and now he's an average bench player. Not saying that Orakpo will be the same, just saying it's pretty rare for a 4-3 rookie pass rusher to do a whole lot and even the one that did basically lucked into it.

Haynesworth is big and bad, I'll give him that. However, I'm more interested in how he did against Jacksonville while in Tennessee. Jeff Saturday is a very small center who has always struggled against bigger DT's (that's why the Pats and their 3-4 scheme along with the Chargers and their 3-4 scheme helped give the Colts offense troubles - just stick the giant NT over Saturday). Houston has had crappy and small centers and guards. I'm trying to get some game film on Ten. vs. Jax, but have been unsuccessful. Anyway, Jacksonville was the only AFC South team with a pretty decent sized center and some big guards. In the NFC East it will be different. Jammal Jackson and Gurode are huge centers, Shaun O'Hara is pretty average sized for a center. Then the guards for the Cowboys, Eagles and Giants are all pretty big guys.

I think the Skins are going to miss Shawn Springs badly. They missed him every time he was out with injury while in DC and DeAngelo Hall seemed to be more in the right place at the right time with his plays with the Skins last season. The 2nd game against the Cowboys was a perfect example as he actually got beat, but Romo made some clearly bad throws. I was very glad the Skins let Springs go and re-signed Hall. I think that was very beneficial to the Cowboys.

It's obvious the Skins don't want Campbell. They wanted Cutler, but couldn't get him and reportedly because the Broncos would rather have Kyle Orton than Campbell. Then they looked at Mark Sanchez, but didn't really have the picks to trade up for him. I don't think Zorn likes him and he really doesn't fit into the WCO scheme or how Zorn teaches QB's. Campbell is meant for a run first, use play action for the big play. Throw it deep or if you throw it short, throw it conservatively. He's also a guy meant to stand up tall in the pocket and Zorn has him crouching in the pocket, which I don't quite understand why any NFL QB would want to do that anyway.

Plus, for all the problems the Cowboys had last year, the Skins went 2-6 down the stretch. And the O-Line looks to have far more issues than Dallas' does right now. And Zorn looked clueless once the Skins running game was contained.

In the end, I can't really trust the Cowboys, Romo and Garrett to meet or come close to meeting the team's potential and the rivalry is too big for a sweep either way. So I'm guessing it will be a split of the games this year.

That's too easy. Mansta54 is right, the guy doesn't know a thing about football. Nors looks like a genius in comparison.

Speaking of Nors...if Jenkins is down, is Ty Law still available?

:eek::

Seeing as how the pathetic loser franchise of the Skins only win 39% of the time when they are playing the Cowboys, the odds are heavily favored that the doormat of a franchise will get swept against this year.

Head to head, we own them. History has proven it. They aren't even our rival: a rival has to bring competition. The Commanders are a fricking doormat of the league and an inferior franchise to boot. That's fact. Inarguable.

We prolly both played the game and understand it more then you. That's prolly why we think alike.

If healthy, I personally think we'll embarrass the Skins this year. Our defense is going to be downright nasty and our offense will much more versatile and efficient without having to force the ball to T.O. Three very good running backs and the best TE tandem in the entire league. Everyone also seems to be discounting our WRs as well. That will be a great mistake.

Dude the Foreskins O is so TERRIBLE, they may not score more then 10pts against us. Christina Samuels will be playing on 1 leg by that time and he can't block DWare anyway, Ratliff destroys Rabach, Randy Thomas is already hurt with a bad knee and can't practice, and they have no RT at all. Heyer flatout stinks and the have a 400lb project behind him.

It looks like a Skins sweep of the Cowboys this year. Sorry Cowboys fans.

Looks like someone else wants to take a trip.
