1st Round (19) - LB Leighton Vander Esch Boise State - Good pick for the spot. He has a high upside and has been compared to Urlacher. I know there is question about his medical history but given everything I say B+ with A+ potential.
2nd Round (50) - OG Connor Williams Texas - The Cowboys are money when it come to drafting lineman. Kid has a first round grade and we got him at 50. Zeke is licking his chops... A for this pick
3rd Round (81) - WR Michael Gallup Colorado State - Unfair to grade him as a Dez replacement. However, he is a strong addition to the WR room. Most important to me is his ability to run crisp routes of the entire tree. A on this pick and shift for the shift in philosophy.
4th Round (116) - DE Dorance Armstrong Jr Kansas - Can rush they passer when called upon and adjusted well in a scheme change. He went where projected. I think a solid C+ with and B upside
4th Round (137) - TE Dalton Schultz Stanford - Witten's remplacement was not available in this draft. Despite what basement GM's think, HOF Tight End don't grow on trees. Schultz can be a solid tight end who can catch and block. I give this a solid B.
5th Round (171) - QB Mike White Western Kentucky - Has a strong arm and projects to be a decent back-up. We should have done defense but he is ok. Solid C Grade.
6th Round (192) - Traded to Rams for WR Tavon Austin WVU - 100% worth a 6th round pick. The Rams needed to use him similar to the way the Chiefs use Tyreek Hill. Very high upside and potential here. The WR room is shaping up nice. Solid A
6th Round (193) - LB Chris Covington Indiana - Athleticism gives Covington a shot to be a solid back-up/rotation player and immediate contributor on special teams. A solid C+/B-.
6th Round (208) - WR Cedrick Wilson Boise State - Cowboys are making it known they are going after strong route runners and they found another one in Wilson. Bonus is his ability to return punts. The Cowboys have gone full Belichick on the WR position in filing the room with WR's who can run the entire route tree with precision. I'm sorry Ms. Dez Bryant / I am for real / Never meant to make your baby cry / I apologize a trillion times --- NOT!!!
Solid B+ for the late draft find.
7th Round (236) - RB Bo Scarbrough Alabama - Scarbrough is a bruiser who looks to punish defensive when Zeke takes a breather. The NFC East defenses are about to take a pounding. A for getting this kid in the 7th freaking round.
