Just imagine how boring the world would be if we all had the same opinion?

crazy huh ;)

That depends. If we all had *my* opinion, I think it would be a pretty awesome place. Yours? Not so much. :)

Go to the phone store and check them both out. That is how you make a decision. Both are good products. You just need to see which one you like better.

As for who said he doesn't know any iPhone to Android converts, you must live in a box. They are every where these days. I have several in my office.

it depends...
1) Are you pretentious enough to own an Apple product?
2) Do you have time to tell everyone you know, then every new person you meet, that you have an Apple product within the first 2 minutes of meeting them?
3) Are you into cult activities?

If you answered "no" to any of these questions, you probably should not get an Apple.

;)

I can't imagine why anyone would want anything other than an iphone. I've yet to see an Android phone I'd take for free over paying for a new Apple phone.

Get out of your box.

Let me introduce you to the Galaxy Nexus.

Guys, we have another convert! :laugh2:

I went with the windows phone because my work said they would pay for it and the monthly plan vs. me paying out of pocket. $0 = win.

I've never known someone to stop using an iPhone once they started. Countless the other way around. There's a reason they outsell all other phones ten fold. They're just the best phones on the market.

But hey...straight out of a box for say someone less smarter and savier...yeah I can see the shiny eye cuteness taking over the purchase. I will give Apple its due, then can polish a turd up real nice and call it a phone and sell it and look good doing it.

Yay?

Wow, did Apple "touch" you? Show me where on this doll apple touched you little Dallas. It's ok, we're friends here...show me....

Are you talking about the Motorola Pro? If so than I would go with the iphone for sure.

Having said that I would choose a newer android phone over the iphone.

I personally know a half dozen people who have gone from apple to droid.

Probably because they lose the pretentious iSheep arrogance and don't feel the compulsion to tell everyone that they switched to something else? :p:

The vocal crowd tends to be the Apple haters, who are just begging to convince you why their android device is SOOOOOOOO much better. These types usually like to make up callow nicknames for people that like something other than what they like.

Actually, I think the Android phones have caught up to Apple in terms of intuitive controls & coolness factor. Do what Brain said - go to the ATT store, or the Verizon store, or Best Buy, and have someone walk you through the features of the phones in your price range. Spend time with each one & see how it feels in your hand. I have had an iphone in the past, but now I have a Samsung Galaxy S2. Both are great devices.

This to the extreme. I have the EVO, which is outdated now. The girlfriend has the Galaxy S2 and I'm in love with it.

Quite the contrary, it's the Apple crowd who have near-orgasmic/religious experiences when a new iToy is announced.

So, all you folks posting about Smartphones...are you a nomophobiac?

http://www.foxnews.com/scitech/2012...our-mobile-phone-theres-help/?intcmp=features

A new study conducted by security-authentication company SecurEnvoy finds that fear of losing your phone is a common ailment. About 66 percent of those surveyed suffer from nomophobia (or “no mobile phone phobia”); interestingly, more women worry about losing their phone than men.

Part of the anxiety has to do with changing social norms. Reeves says some of the pressure she feels is that contacts often expect an immediate response; with today’s smartphones, there’s no such thing as being out of touch.

...oh really? No such thing as being out of touch? The author obviously doesn't work in the double basement all day that I do in which we get no cell reception...

Someone said Android is clunky. :lmao2: I would say you def want an Apple product. Smarter savier individuals like myself tend to lean towards the platform that is not CLOSED. Some might even call it clunky.....

Android all day everyday and it isn't even close.

Just get an iPhone like the rest of the pasture grazing sheep, but don't say you were never warned. ;)

My GF absolutely hates her iPhone 4s

Wow... the Droid Brigade says iPhone users are uppity, pretentious know-it-alls, then in one fell swoop you prove the opposite...

Congrats Dallas...

Any thoughts on the new Samsung Note coming out? Anyone planning on looking at, or getting one? I have an iphone 3gs now, but thinking about looking at the note.

I can only tell you what I know from research and what we should be getting in our phones.

Right now

1. Galaxy Nexus has best Android system in ICS 4.0 but its still got some work to do.

2. The best Droid phone, IMO, is the Droid Razr Maxx. Its still on Gingerbread but the phone is FAST and they jammed a 3,300mah battery in it. That double of most phones.

3. The iPhone is really a phone for people that just want things to work and dont care about 4G/LTE and fastest processor etc. Its just a what you see is what you get and they nailed that.

So, my recommendations RIGHT NOW are iPhone 4S or Droid Razr Maxx.

If you could...

wait this is going to be a real BIG year for phones. Apple will finally release iPhone5 and it should have LTE.

Samsung is coming out with Galaxy Note(on ATT) and Galaxy Journal(Verizon) that wil be a big phone but it is considered a hybrid. 5.3" BIG.

Either way, you'll overpay for and use like 1/15 of the features on your phone.
