yeah BLEU!

btw, I think Roy is kind of overrated, he's really only had 1 top season, but is being paid like one of the top receivers in the game

Now why am I not surprised you posted in this thread, your the biggest RW11 hater here, along with TO's bu** buddy Judas.

Spare me the lame *** lecture. You're the most guilty poster on this forum of acting like a child. You've been doing it for some time now...there are hundreds of people on this forum that would like to see it stop...but alas, I'm afraid we'll have to listen to your caterwauling for the unforeseeable future.

I used no excuses for Williams. You've provided some that I never even entertained...why? Who knows...maybe it makes your lame *** argument make more sense to you. I'm not trying to explain why he had no impact, either.

I'm simply calling you out for being you. Which is the most insulting thing I can possibly think of.

..but hey, who am I to call out someone of your obvious expertise. I mean "Flag Football"......I kneel to your all knowingness.

LOL post of the century......

Oh my god. Are you seriously having this much trouble with reading comprehension?

I'M NOT USING ANY EXCUSES.

I've repeatedly admitted that I didn't like the trade. I didn't like his performance last year. I don't expect much from him next year. Understand? Comprende?

I was simply responding to your lame *** resume', and how you've somehow justified that that was good enough to determine whether or not he was qualified to play in the NFL. Which he clearly is, but I don't expect you to be able to comprehend that either.

...and your damn right flag football has nothing to do with this. Neither does the rest of your unimpressive resume, so why bring it up?

You said something stupid...followed by something else stupid....and I commented on it, calling it arrogant, which it is. Then you responded with an insult in ....to which you should take a long look in the mirror. I did NOT comment on Williams. In fact, I'm almost inclined to agree with you on Williams, outside of the absurd comment about him not being an NFL caliber player.

Are we done? Is that play by play easy enough for you? They used to be your specialty.

Not as good as the first one but Judas owned again!

Exactly!!!! I don't know why he even pulls for the team. He's so unhappy and negative about everything about the Boyz... Unbelievable!!

Agree with the agreement.

All Wi11iams has to do is put up adequate numbers for a #1 receiver for this team to be successful. Nothing flashy, nothing gaudy, just adequate. Let Rice and Beans do their thing, and Smash, Flash, and Dash do their thing to carry this team offensively.

If you can realistically have a bus driver QB like Eli and Dilfer, then all you need from Wi11iams is for him to be a bus driver as a receiver. He doesn't have to go out and make surreal plays to win the game, he just needs to produce at a mid range for #1's.

We traded a 1st, 3rd, and a 6th.

Gave him the highest WR contract in the entire NFL. 5 years 45 mil.

And he showed absolutely nothing last year to suggest that he was worth the investment. Work ethic issues, and a history of injuries = confused, slow, ineffective WR.

So until proven otherwise he is tops in the league in terms of overrated. He is on the hot seat next year. Lets see how he performs under pressure, and with no excuses.

I'm actually just mum on the guy, and I can see the case for him being overrated, he's going to be receiving alot of money for a player who hasn't really done anything in the NFL outside of one standout season

to put it in perspective, Anquan Boldin, one of the league's top 15 WRs, is still waiting on a big-money deal

I think RW knows he has more than his share of doubters and I think this will only help motivate him. He has been working out with Romo and is putting in the needed work to develop chemistry with Tony. I look forward to seeing RW put his critics to rest

Not to mention RW played in a wide open offense that was always playing from behind. Considering they threw the ball 70% of the time in Detroit his stats are extremely inflated. His injury issues, and inability to grasp our playbook really troubled me last year. Giving him the highest WR contract shows me that Jerry was jumping the gun and freaing out when Tony went down. The Lions have been dangling him in front of us for years, they just waited till Jerry was in panic mode and robbed us.

In 10 games, a one handed grab against the Giants and an easy pitch and catch fade against the Bucs were the only two flashes of brilliance we saw. The collective optimism on this board regarding RW is really surprising, but I think its merely a case of a new broom sweeping well.

He has been good everywhere he has played. And all of a sudden he sucks now? That lame excuse has no substance.

So one thousand yard season in Detroit qualifies as "good" for his whole tenure there? If he had any measure of consistency in Detroit, you would be right. He has been inconsistent as a professional. There isn't any other way you can view it. Given that, his injury history and his questionable debut last year, I cannot fault anyone for being skeptical of him and considering him overrated until he proves it.

Troy Aikman was the most vocally critical person about RW last year. But this board spun it like he was just trying to divert attention away from Red.

Aikman was right. Plain and simple, he was right. And it is up to Williams to prove him wrong. One thing to notice about Aikman's comments is that they weren't devoted exclusively to his time in Dallas, so he wasn't protecting Garrett.

If there is any spin it is coming from people who want to believe that Williams is a proven elite WR. Even the player himself has been defensive saying he's done it "everywhere he's been". Well, I haven't seen it on a consistent basis since Permian High and the University of Texas.

Williams is getting a lot of grief, but that's to be expected given the price we paid for him.
