Put up or shut up... That's my opinion of RW11's "potential" in a Boys uni. This isn't Detroit...

Troy Aikman was the most vocally critical person about RW last year. But this board spun it like he was just trying to divert attention away from Red.
He probably was... Troy Aikman didn't say a word about Garrett's play-calling, though it sucked garbage. He called Roy Williams out on some plays, that were clearly not his fault.

Not to mention RW played in a wide open offense that was always playing from behind. Considering they threw the ball 70% of the time in Detroit his stats are extremely inflated. His injury issues, and inability to grasp our playbook really troubled me last year. Giving him the highest WR contract shows me that Jerry was jumping the gun and freaing out when Tony went down. The Lions have been dangling him in front of us for years, they just waited till Jerry was in panic mode and robbed us.

In 10 games, a one handed grab against the Giants and an easy pitch and catch fade against the Bucs were the only two flashes of brilliance we saw. The collective optimism on this board regarding RW is really surprising, but I think its merely a case of a new broom sweeping well.

the inability to grasp the playbook really is troubling, considering that it is described as being very easy, at least the routes the WRs are asked to run, as they are numbered

to be hopeful, Roy does have alot of potential, but he needs to shape up, he had the opportunity to watch TO play, and the only thing apparently he picked up from him was his whining streak

Where does this idea that Roy Williams not grasping the play-book come from? The idea that he wasn't getting balls in the beginning was allegedly because of this reason, and when 3 weeks had passed, Roy Williams began to start talking about the issue having nothing to do with the play-book anymore. He used to state he ran a similar type of offense with the Lions, the only exception being the terminology. When he wasn't getting the ball then, people started saying it was the injury. When he was criticizing Garrett, he called him out for not targetting him with a basic slant. There were times where I saw Roy Williams wide-open on the sidelines, and Tony Romo didn't even look his way, while Roy was flailing his arms.... Crayton also wasn't being targetted.. Was that because he couldn't grasp the play-book?

Its because he plays for Dallas. Last year in Detroit he wouldn't have made the list. Notice there is no T.O, it is because he left Dallas, last year he was on this list.

Haters.

Any proof of that? Because part of me thinks you are just saying that to take up for our new garbage wide reciever. It has nothing to do with them hating on Dallas and everything to do with the truth.

It may have more to do with his profile being raised with the mid-season trade and the new contract, but RW has a world more visibility in Dallas than he ever did in Detroit. That's not even debatable. And his impact was significantly less than his payday, which is pretty much the definition of overrated.
