Snap counts vs bears

Here are the snap counts for the bears game yesterday.
Some things that stood out to me:

• The bears only had 59 snaps; but 19 of them were on that one drive in the 3rd qtr!
• Mazi Smith had 18 snaps and did not register in the stats. (It’s past cut time IMO!)
• Backup Corner Reddy Stewart had 47 snaps and had 6 tackles, 2 TFLs. At least he’s playing hard.
• LB Marist Liafau mysteriously remains in Matty E’s doghouse. He had 8 snaps.

I truly don’t understand why Schoonmaker is getting more snaps than Spann-Ford.
Unless he’s still ramping up from an injury, he’s our best blocker and a good receiver who needs some play in the red zone.

Pleased do. It was quite embarrassing. He was flattened lying flat on his back looking up. I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure it was Booker. It was at about the 7 yard line with Dallas trying to go in. Think it was late but Dak was still in. Probably the last time we were down there with Dak in.

It was the play the lineman got flagged for the low hit on Dak, probably because he tripped on a turtle shelled Booker lying on his back, lol. Grady Jarrett was the guy. It happened at 5:26 left to go in the 4th.

Still don't know why people are so mad about this. Lamb has been getting handoffs since he got here in 2020 and even has scored touchdowns as a runner.

You get the ball into the hands of your best players. The injury was a fluke. It could have happened as a receiver too.

There’s NO REASON Liafau, Childress, and Houston should not be in the field at this point. All three are better than the trash that’s been out there.
There’s also NO reason Hunter Luepke should have been given the type of contract he was given. Good for him being a smart, likable, hard working, dude, but WHY????

Don’t disagree with you necessarily but I don’t think plugging in Liafau, Childress and Houston makes this team a lot better. Maybe it would give the team a mental lift but in reality this is not a very talented defense.

Outside of the total # of snaps I would give Williams half of Sanders carries and the other half to Luepke. We actually have a run game that's working and we won't use it. Run the ball, dominate TOP and keep defense on the sideline, limit mistakes in passing game. It's on Shotty to figure it out.
