Twitter: Snap Counts vs Pack

Parsons wasn’t even a threat to rush on too many plays. Rodgers knew when he wasn’t.

I just can’t understand that.

Sam Williams needs more playing time.

Well they only called 22 pass plays.

I have no idea what the final numbers were, but Parsons definitely rushed the passer on a significant number of those.

Interesting point about the rotation. Never thought about that. The focus has always been on guys being fresh.

I am starting to think Sam Williams needs more snaps at DE. He seems to be the one guy strong enough to stand up his guy on running plays. Armstrong seems to get blocked out.
Sam's snap continue to increase. He was close to Fowler in snaps vs the Packers. He is by far the strongest DE on the roster...and fastest.

Snap counts vs pack.
Some things that stood out to me:
  • The Cowboys had 83 snaps on offense to GBs 64.
  • Tony Pollard had 72 snaps yesterday. He usually gets no more than 20-30.
  • Jalen Tolbert had 8 snaps. One of those snaps was embarrassing.
  • Four TEs had snaps yesterday. Schultz 63, Ferguson 26, Hendershot 17 and McKeon 9.
  • Kelvin Joseph had 41 snaps and DeRon Bland had 35. Bland got exposed a couple of times.
  • Jonathan Hankins had 25 snaps yesterday and had 1 tackle.
  • DLaw actually had a great game yesterday. Played 46 snaps, had 7 tackles, 1 sack, 1 forced fumble and 1 TFL.
What jumped out to you?

Both Hankins and Bohanna got over 35% of the snaps.

Damone Clark needs to get more snaps. Why they didn't use him more in GB to help with the run defense is puzzling.

I'd have liked to have seen Damone Clark get more snaps to free up Parsons to move around. What they did wasn't working.

Parsons should be used for edge rushing. If he's got energy to spare, then use him for some off the ball LB roles. But he should be used for what he does best - as in among the best in the league.

Dak was high on a couple of throws to him, so he caught 1 of 3. But I guess you want to take a right throws to Lamb, Gallup, and Shultz to feed our fourth option, right?
Yes, Brown is not a starting NFL receiver for sure. When he can’t get open passes must be thrown where only he can get a hand on them.

what stood out was that DQ had Micah Parsons playing back as a LB for majority of game compared to "DE" position where he is a natural game wrecker at
