People forget we beat the same players (except for TO and Romo) 35-7 just 2 years ago.
Say what??
Near as I can figure, on offense the Boys did not have Romo, Owens, FB Oliver Hoyte, OG Leonard Davis, OG Kyle Kosier or OT Marc Colombo starting 2 years ago... C Andre Gurode only started 2 games that season... that's 7 new starters, just on the offensive side of the ball...
On defense, DE Chris Canty was not starting, DE Jason Hatcher was not on the team, DT Jay Ratliff was not starting, OLB Anthony Spencer was not on the team, IL Akin Ayodele was starting for the Jaguars, FS Ken Hamlin was playing for the Seahawks... that's 6 more starters or regulars on defense who are different from that 2005 season...
Throw in rookie kicker Nick Folk, and you have no fewer than 14 starters or regulars this year who were not contributing to the team in 2005... to say that this is basically the same team is asinine...
And 6 of those new players are either Pro Bowlers already (Romo, Owens, Gurode), or are playing at a Pro Bowl level this year (Davis, Hamlin, Folk)... that's a lot of new playmakers that you guys did not have to contend with two years ago...
Not to mention a whole new coaching staff, and a brand new, more wide open offensive scheme...
If I cared enough, I'd go through and list all the new players for the Skins too, but I think I've already done more than enough to shoot down your little theory...
