sad as it is for me to say, this is the least excited i've been about a boys/skins game in years. the skins can't put away anybody- they epitomize playing down to their competition. they lack killer instinct. and alot of fans think it comes from gibbs and trickles down, making it even harder to deal with.

if that wasn't bad enough, sean taylor- having a career year and always geared up to hit TO- is out. witness mcnabb slinging it downfield with abandon after taylor went down last week. this week, its romo and TO.... great.

a dinged up secondary, O line, and WR corps (i'm talking about moss and thrash- who i actually like, not lloyd) going against the resurgent dallas cowboys, and you have the makings of a nearly unwatchable game.

so, is there any reason the point spread is only 10 1/2? :(

seriously, it would take a buffalo bill effort to beat us. seriously if you guys can rattle Romo into throwing 3 or 4 picks, then the Skins will have a great shot. do i think that will happen, i doubt it.

the thing that worries me most is that you guys are 5-4 and we are 8-1, i can see your team coming in here and laying everything out on the field to save the season.

in closing, if our offense gets rolling early, and gets a big early lead, the rout will be on, as i dont think Campbell can rally a comeback.

People forget we beat the same players (except for TO and Romo) 35-7 just 2 years ago. There is no reason we can't win if Gibbs makes a good Master Plan for this one.

What an ignorant thing to say. More than half of the roster has changed.

I'll just list the most obvious difference: The lineman that started that game in 2005 are no longer here.

Torrin Tucker -> Flozell Adams
Larry Allen -> Kyle Kosier
Al Johnson -> Andre Gurode
Marco Rivera -> Leonard Davis
Rob Petitti -> Marc Columbo

No it shouldn't be and if you're referring to TO, he doesn't get a pass either. He was on the field, infact, he never blamed his broken hand for dropped passes..

thats not what you said last year.

I really would like to see him take over the game once in a while... we have yet to really see that.... THAT is who he is... we need that, we want that.... we paid for that...

I am a big TO fan... but I aint gonna blow smoke for the guy... he has some things to make up for....

I think alot of this goes back to the broken hand. Like I said, it has to be difficult to play WR with a injured hand.

Again, he was on the field so he shouldn't have been dropping passes. Don't try to avoid sundays ARSE WHUPPIN by pulling up old post. Sunday is coming and so is that BEATDOWN...

you didnt say that then. you made 'excuses' for his performance.

ironic. no?

This game is really starting to feel like a trap game. I don't know. I just keep expecting to get punched in the mouth once or twice before the playoffs start.

Also I don't like losing Davis, even if it is for just this game. We haven't really had any OL problems all year. Without Davis, our OL is roughly the same one we had last year, above average but not dominant like it is with Davis in there.

I expect the Skins to bring it all and it could turn into a low-scoring affair.

Yes, I worry to a degree about every opponent even though I am sometimes very confident. I want to sweep the division this year. That's a very rare thing in the NFCE. In fact I believe it has only happened twice. I want to protect our turf. I hate losing at home. I've been a fan too long to know that anything is written in stone where it pertains to this rivalry. In 1989 when we stunk out loud our only win was in Washington. I'm not foolish enough to think my team is invulnerable.

No, it wasn't an excuse it was fact nevertheless he was on the field and shouldn't have been dropping passes... Now, how about that BEATDOWN on sunday, you don't seem to want to discuss that. Huh man!!!:laugh2:

Dallas vs. Washington always worries me. This is THE fiercest rivalry in the NFL, and even on down years the teams play each other hard. When Dallas was 1-15, the one win was against Washington, and it's the same way in reverse.

Having said that, we should win this game handily.

which differs from what i mentioned in my first post...how?

nevertheless he was on the field and shouldn't have been dropping passes...

but it's ok, according to you -last year- because he had a broken hand.

but, thats not an excuse. its a fact. right?

No, tires aren't smokin but our offense is. Now thats smokin!! I said TO's broken hand may be affecting him catching the ball but thats not a excuse cause he's on the field. Whats so hard to understand about that.

Listen man, every team has injuries, especially at this time of year. Deal with it like all the other teams have to including us. If you want to list reasons on why you don't feel good about your team, there's plenty to start with, without listing injuries cause every team has that issue. Your team has MAJOR issues starting with the front ofc on down to the waterboy... It's simple as that!!

i'd be more excited about the game if the skins were healthy. but i still wouldnt put the skins on the level of the cowboys if they were.

anything can happen in these games, but as a fan of the underdog in this matchup, i'm less optimistic.

The Deadskins are going to get nailed like a virgin on Prom Night.

No bravado here, I have to honestly say "no", and this is the first time I have said that in 10 years (even during our period of dominance). This Cowboys team is just on a whole different level from Washington, and the game is in Dallas. There's a reason why the line is 11 points.

Hell yeah I am worried. This rivalry is a real *****. We might be able to beat the skins 99/100. But that one instance of defeat could come this weekend for all we know.

But these days I at least have RoMoTO to ease my worries. Light em' up fellas!
